In this, their first adventure, Chet and Bernie investigate the disappearance of Madison, a teenage girl who may or may not have been kidnapped, but who has definitely gotten mixed up with some very unsavory characters.

Easy to fall in love with these characters. Sometimes you get anxious, as with any mystery whodunit and sometimes it's just laugh out loud funny, as well as heart warming. I was so delighted with the story and the great performance by Mr. Frangione that i've purchased the next four titles. I'm happy that they are now in my library.

The loss of control. The fear of desire. Allie always thought that mysteriously sexy rancher Caleb Johnson wanted her as much as she wanted him. But since he never acted on it, she was ready to admit defeat. Until the night she was attacked by a vicious wolf, only to be rescued by another. In the triumphant, bloodied male, there was something Allie recognized---the baritone growl, the mesmerizing eyes, the inexplicable animal attraction. Her savior was Caleb.

Usually there is a story or plot along with some bedroom activities, just to add a little more exotic interest. But, nearing the end of the first half of the book, I realized there is an abundance of bedroom gymnastics, but a total lack of interesting plot or even an interesting character. I won't be finishing this one.

The narrator tries to do a good job with her part, but it's not her fault that there is nothing but junk to read.

Druid Atticus O’Sullivan hasn’t stayed alive for more than two millennia without a fair bit of Celtic cunning. So when vengeful thunder gods come Norse by Southwest looking for payback, Atticus, with a little help from the Navajo trickster god Coyote, lets them think that they’ve chopped up his body in the Arizona desert. But the mischievous Coyote is not above a little sleight of paw, and Atticus soon finds that he’s been duped into battling bloodthirsty desert shape-shifters called skinwalkers.

Sometimes I take a chance on a first book that I know is a series and knowing that if I like the first, my decisions about what to buy next will be so very simple. The first in this series by this author is "Hounded" and after the first listen, I was hooked. I've just finished the fourth in the series and can't wait for the next installment. This is pure fantasy and if you like character development like I do, especially in this case, being a dog lover myself, you'll love the Druid's Russian Wolfhound. His character and their interaction is enchanting and totally lovable. In quite a few of the interactions, I found myself laughing out loud, which doesn't happen too often in fantasy novels. The narrator does a superb job on his voices and the emotional qualities that he imparts to the characters. Just all in all a fun, fun read (listen).

The year is 1771. Claire Randall is still an outlander, out of place and out of time. But now she is linked by love to her only anchor: Jamie Fraser. Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a great story, history, and depth of the characters.

What did you like best about this story?

Everything! It's joyful, heartbreaking, thought provoking and pure entertainment.

What about Davina Porter’s performance did you like?

Davina Porter is a marverlous narrator. Not only does she perform each part with the ability to define each one, she imparts a wonderful emotion with her voice. I think I'd listen to anything she narrates!

    Any additional comments?

This audiobook is a great way to spend a credit if you enjoy a great tale told very well!

In Chicago, someone has been killing practitioners of magic, those incapable of becoming full-fledged wizards. Shockingly, all the evidence points to Harry Dresden's half brother, Thomas, as the murderer. Determined to clear his sibling's name, Harry uncovers a conspiracy within the White Council of Wizards that threatens not only him, but his nearest and dearest, too.

When I purchased the first in the Desden Files series, it was a special offer, so I thought I'd give it a try. I just finished listening to Book #9 and purchased the 10th and can't wait to hear it. I can't believe that I waited until Book 9 to write a review, but now I want to let everyone know how delightful the series has become. The entire series continues to develop the character of Harry and adds new and interesting characters all the time, while keeping the plots exciting and moving right along. The narration has also gotten better with each book and Mr. Marsters creates just the right enviornment for the characters to develop and grow on you. This is pure entertainment if you enjoy fantasy and the exploration of human nature

The body of an elderly woman is found dismembered in a Virginia landfill. Scarpetta initially believes the clues mirror that of a serial killer she's tracked before. But upon further investigation, she discovers puzzling pox-like erruptions on the woman's body that, perhaps, point in another direction.

I purchased this audio book because I have liked reading this author's books in the past, but I couldn't get through the first few chapters of this recorded book. The narrator's style is flat, slow and dull. I even tried moving my ipod to a faster rate of delivery for the book, but it still didn't work for me. I am very disappointed and will not be finishing the book in this recorded format.
