Would you listen to Lady Be Good again? Why?

I never listen or read a book twice, what would be the point in that?

Would you be willing to try another book from Susan Elizabeth Phillips? Why or why not?

This was the second book by Susan E. Phillips I have purchased, and will try another one when I'm in the mood for giggles.

What about Anna Fields’s performance did you like?

Anna Fields does a great job with the different accents. I forget there is only her performing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There wasn't just one moment that stands out, but the humor with the "Hero" was great.

Something dark and evil has awakened.... Evie O'Neill has been exiled from her boring old hometown and shipped off to the bustling streets of New York City - and she is pos-i-tute-ly ecstatic. It's 1926, and New York is filled with speakeasies, Ziegfeld girls, and rakish pickpockets. The only catch is that she has to live with her uncle Will and his unhealthy obsession with the occult. Evie worries her uncle will discover her darkest secret: a supernatural power that has only brought her trouble so far.

This is a great listen, kept me on the treadmill just to hear more of the story. This book took me to another place and time, characters were .....well fun. January LaVoy is the best reader I have heard, I could see the different characters just with her tone. Loved the whole enchilada.

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

If you are looking for a book to intertain, keep you up half the night because you didn't want to stop listening, and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling at the end. This is the book for you. My husband also listened and enjoyed it. I have liked reading Robert Crais, but this is definitaly one of his best.
