This book was very pleasant and a very good story. Not a waste of your time. It makes you think about what is important in your day to day living. The Narrator was very good. She has a smooth mellow voice that made the listen that much more pleasant.
I bought the book for a 4.95 special and it was definitely worth it. Not sure if I would have used a credit but it was a good story.

Twenty years ago, Claire Maloney was the willful, pampered, tomboyish daughter of the town's most respected family, but that didn't stop her from befriending Roan Sullivan, a fierce, motherless boy who lived in a rusted-out trailer amid junked cars. No one in Dunderry, Georgia - least of all Claire's family - could understand the bond between these two mavericks. But Roan and Claire belonged together...until the dark afternoon when violence and terror overtook them, and Roan disappeared from Claire's life.

This was a wonderful story. Family, social issues, and a wonderful love story. The narrator I came to like. Just needed to become accustomed to the southern accent. This book was on the 2 for 1 list. I really hit the jackpot. It's worth a credit!

This was a wonderful story of young love that lasts for life. The narrator did a good job. At first you feel her soft high pitch will wear on you but as you continue it fits the character of Melanie. All in all it was a very beautiful story that brought a tear here and there.

This was a really great listen. I could hardly take the earplugs out! At first I thought the narrator was a bit mundane. However, as the story went on, she was perfect for the narration especially as Abigail/Elizabeth. Nora Roberts has not let me down in reading her books. And I was not let down with this audible listen. I recommend this highly for simply a great story.

Another wonderful listen! This was my first Nora Roberts listen and I'm a big fan of hers. Enjoyed it! At first I was unsure of the male narrator, however, as time went on it was good narrating.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.
