A groundbreaking and paradigm-shifting book, The Speed of Trust challenges our age-old assumption that trust is merely a soft, social virtue and instead demonstrates that trust is a hard-edged, economic driver -- a learnable and measurable skill that makes organizations more profitable, people more promotable, and relationships more energizing.

Christopher says: "Son of Covey carries on the legacy..."
    "Good timely information!"
    Overall

Every time I listen to it, I always pick up new things to apply in my life.

Would you consider the audio edition of Assertive Behavior to be better than the print version?

Don't know. Never owned the print version.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Remixed the audio tracks so that the music is more in the background instead of competing with the narrator.

Would you be willing to try another one of Wayne June’s performances?

    Don't know.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

    Assertiveness is healthy and good.

    Any additional comments?

Please remix the audio, so that people can hear what the narrator is saying.

  • The Irresistible Offer: How to Sell Your Product or Service in Three Seconds or Less

The marketing methods of the past are losing effectiveness as consumers are getting smarter and smarter and have less and less time. What is needed is a new way of doing business, a method that is simultaneously socially responsible and far more effective than "old marketing". This new way is The Irresistible Offer.

    J. D. Mosley-Matchett says: "Adolescent and irritating"
"Not Concise, Needs to be abridged"
    Overall

While the first part of this audio book concentrated on the components of the "Irresistible Offer," the remainder of the book was mostly about marketing in general. I was expecting the author to cover the "irresistible offer" more indepth. Instead, the author covered it very broadly and added a lot of general marketing tips that you can get from any other marketing book. He repeats the phrase "irresistible offer" several times without providing new information on how to strengthen our knowledge, properly formulate, construct, and apply an "irresistible offer" to our own businesses.

The narrator's voice gets pretty drone after a while and his message was difficult to follow because I found myself distracted by the way he was delivering his message. The overall message of this book is OK, but I would advise buying the actual book, skipping right to the meat of the subject, and avoiding the filler parts.

This is a free-flowing conversation between two authors who are intimate with their subject. These guys banter, argue, throw things, and joke about the current state of marketing and an obvious need for a manifesto to REALLY shake things up! In a lively two-hour exchange, the boys of Punk Marketing go at it with verve, gusto, and glee, as they talk through the 15 articles of the manifesto that bolsters their revolution - it's hilarious, irreverent, and timely!

    Mike says: "Horribly Painful"
"Not Concise, Doesn't Get to the Point"
    Overall

There are 15 items in the Punk Marketing Menifesto. However, it took 26 minutes to get to the first one. If you are a busy person with not much time to listen to a lot of joking around and mindless babble, then I would advise buying the book to cut through the nonsense. With a book you can, at least, get right to the heart of the matter. Otherwise, you will spend most of your time listening to the narrators entertaining themselves instead of getting right to the point.
