A stunning testament to his creative genius. Forward The Foundation is a the saga's dramatic climax - the story Asimov fans have been waiting for. An exciting tale of danger, intrigue, and suspense, Forward The Foundation brings to vivid life Asimov's best loved characters: hero Hari Seldon, who struggles to perfect his revolutionary theory of psychohistory to ensure the survival of humanity; Cleon II, the vain and crafty emperor of the Galactic Empire.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Only if a big Foundation fan.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Its best and worst characteristic is that it is trivia. We already know psychohistory was developed.

What didn’t you like about Larry McKeever’s performance?

He is ponderous at best. When he reads conversations, its like he is talking to an idiot. During narrative parts, he sometimes has a better flow.

Could you see Forward the Foundation being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

    No.

Between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities...there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars.... Hither came Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand...to tread the jeweled thrones of the earth under his sandalled feet.

Would you try another book from Robert E. Howard and/or Todd McLaren?

    No

Has The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Yes

How could the performance have been better?

Far better. The narrator mispronounces an astonishingly large number of words.

Was The Coming of Conan the Cimmerian worth the listening time?

No. The first story, revisited towards the end, is unique, as are a few more but the majority of the stories are the same - girl, blood, bad guy, evil spirrits, etc. It gets tiring after a while. I listened all the way through in case there was a new story.

    Any additional comments?

I rarely write reviews but I neede to this time. The packaging of the stories out of chronological sequence seems to be packaging lack of effort as a virtue.
