"A Blast from The Past"
This book is quite entertaining. It gives the older generation a wonderful piece of nostalgia and, to the younger generation, a peek at what entertained the world before television. I sat in my favorite chair with a cup of hot chocolate, wrapped in a blanket with the lights off. The chills abounded. I certainly will look forward to more of this genre.
"Fiction Mirrors Reality"
I've read some of the books by A. Vachss before and how they came about. I love the HORROR genre but this fiction mirrors true horror. Sends shivers up my spine how things like this really happen.
One the more memorable moments was when the author describes how innocents can be manipulated to the dark side of drugs and prostitution.
I would have loved to listen to it in one sitting but then it would have been over sooner. Nice and slow makes a better story.
I look forward to continue the saga.
"A Tale Of Potential"
A scary romp is what I wanted and it was indeed there! My only criticism is that I found the handling of most of the subplots didn't tie in well with the title character. I felt as though the writer had half a dozen ideas that could have been great novellas but instead, tied all of them together with the title character to create the book.
"A Pleasant Experience"
Listening to a variety of short essays, poems and tales not only is enteraining but brings classic literature to a person who doesn't always has the time to read
