I usually like Lori Foster books. Unfortunately I didn't like this one very much. It sounded like an interesting scenario, but the hero is too cocky (literally) and the heroine is TSTL (too stupid to live) for the first quarter of the book. I never did figure out where the story takes place; somewhere south of Ohio, possibly in Kentucky, is all I got from something very late in the book. I did finish it, but I'm not sure how much I missed because of the awful narrator. He was very hard to get used to and actually hear the story.
I was just happy the the mess was finally over. At least it had a happy ending.
Only if I really, really, needed to hear the story. I really, really disliked the narrator. Quick sentences, then a quiet space, then more quick sentences in a soft voice, like he was narrating golf and trying to make it exciting. Very hard to get used to and actually hear the story. Yeah, wish I could actually read it on Kindle or in a real book, but with my vision that's not happening.
Audible should indicate that this is part of a series.
