Le Show is a program of satire, humor, and commentary about the week's news. Comedy sketches written and performed by multi-talented multimedia artist Harry Shearer, interwoven with an eclectic, ever-changing blend of music; from world to pop, soul to jazz. Shearer says about Le Show, "I do it because I don't do standup, and I don't do sitcoms, and the radio broadcast enables me to do what I think is funny in a broadcast medium without having to listen either to network executives or Canadian producers."

    "I prefer silence"
    Overall

I was expecting something funny, witty, or at least intelligent. Reading news items from the paper with very long pauses (for effect I guess) made me prefer silence on my commute. I gave it several episodes to try to 'get' it but it just didn't get any better.

"Its mission is to document everyday life in this country. We sometimes think of it as a documentary show for people who normally hate documentaries. A public radio show for people who don't necessarily care for public radio. What we look for in putting the show together are stories that we love, truly love." Get the latest issue or subscribe!

    "Lots of Driveway Moments"
    Overall

This is one of those radio shows that gives me 'driveway moments'. The material is usually very interesting, well told, and often has a wry or poignant element to it. The show sometimes wanders a little too far from its weekly theme but it is otherwise an excellent listen for commuters. I look forward to each week's installment.

Cialdini provides fascinating insight into how people avoid the work of making decisions and why they comply with requests in business settings. He has identified six principles which are so powerful that they generate desirable change in the widest range of circumstances.

You can't earn a degree, take postgraduate courses, be certified, or become a master tradesman, but being a dad is the most important job you will ever have. The multitude of suggestions and "should dos" being shouted at you from all corners can be overwhelming. You cannot do them all, but how do you choose which techniques and skills are the most important for raising happy, healthy children?

Richard Byers says: "Written exclusively for Christians"
    "Only the devout need apply"
    Overall

As a new parent, I was looking for parenting advice. What I got was a guilt trip for not going to church. Some of the other advice was OK but it was way too churchy for my liking.
