I have listened to this book twice. And I cant wait to read it again. There is something about the narrator that makes me listen.
I would like the titles of each chapter to download thru my audible app. I think it would help me with my selection of what I want to listen.
YEs I would listen to this book again so I don't forget.
The narrator seems to be genuinely concerned about the issues discussed in the book. Therefore it makes for a better read/Listening experience.
I really enjoyed listening to Jack Kornfield. He has a sense of calmness that promotes calmness and somewhat leaves you wanting more.
Knowledge is treasure. I will not become a Buddhist. But I will try to be Buddha like!
Worth the buy! I will be listening to it for a third time pretty soon here!!!
Yes, I will listen to this audio book again. Hopefully for the 21 days it suggests we do. I don't know if I fall asleep or if I'm under hypnosis while Im listening to it. But when I open my eyes I feel fine, not tired. So that was a good result for me.
I have not read the print version, but I read a lot so I decided to give my eyes a break. This was a very enjoyable book to listen to. I especially enjoyed the narrator who sounds like he is speaking from the past with wisdom he WANTS to share.
I loved the entire book. Being a perfectionist I seldom trust others or compliment on their work. I now have a better understanding of why people are the way they are and why they probably don't like me....lol...
It seems like everything he talked about was skills I recognized were within me, but I was letting outside influences determine my own behavior. I feel as though we are programed to know what is best for ourselves but often forget it. This was a great reminder!
I am listening to this book for the second time and will probably give it as a gift to my previous Priest. I also am looking forward to listening to the updated version that focuses on the Digital World.
He has a great personality!
If you are looking to be a better person and change for yourself, try the Secret things of God by Dr. Henry Cloud. I am also listening to Live a better life by the Dalai Lama and so far it is great. I have listened to this particular one twice now and I catch something different every time.
I enjoyed the opening buda prayer in buda. It sounded peaceful, humble and like it came from the soul. I know almost nothing about budaism... but it is definitely something I want to learn more about.
It made me laugh and SMILE!
