Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES! I'm a working artist, and its a hard road, but if feels good to hear someone GET IT! and talk form that place of knowing. first book ive ever gifted.

Who was your favorite character and why?

VERY interesting hearing about the muses

Did George Guidall do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

least favorite part of the book. part of the charm is the casual yet astute writing, this over dramatized read just doesnt match. but STILL i listened to it twice so ....

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES, and i did ... twice. and i will again.

    Any additional comments?

there is something important about knowing some one understands your struggle. YES this topic has been covered but the concise simplicity and humor, just made this STICK for me, and several other artists i know ...

  • Guts: The Endless Follies and Tiny Triumphs of a Giant Disaster

The two-time Emmy Award-winning actress has written her first book, a surprisingly raw and triumphant memoir that is outrageous, moving, sweet, tragic, and heartbreakingly honest. Guts is a true triumph - a memoir that manages to be as frank and revealing as Augusten Burroughs, yet as hilarious and witty as David Sedaris.

What made the experience of listening to Guts the most enjoyable?

This is one of those RARE books, where the Autobiography is WRITTEN AND READ with EQUAL talent. This book is a Dream. The bitter sweet feeling of loving a book so much you cant stop listening and yet don't want it to end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Guts?

Interesting perspective about her being in the tabloids for her weight loss ... and how wrong the world was.

What about Kristen Johnston’s performance did you like?

Its REALLY, TRULY sounds like your are listening to a charismatic and funny friend tell an AMAZING story. I know it sounds crazy, but I really felt like she was talking TO ME! and I admire her journey all the more ...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

A BIGGER THAN LIFE STORY OF REDEMPTION

    Any additional comments?

I've told so many friends about this book, its that good. I didn't really Know who Kirsten Johnston was - and never saw 3rd Rock - BUT THIS BOOK! is brilliant. She is Brilliant!

From Andre Agassi, one of the most beloved athletes in history and one of the most gifted men ever to step onto a tennis court, a beautiful, haunting autobiography. Agassi brings a near-photographic memory to every pivotal match and every relationship. Never before has the inner game of tennis and the outer game of fame been so precisely limned.
