When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.

    Story
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story in general I love. The first book I got had the old reader that sounded like she was a little kid. She was supposed to be young and naive and after a few chapters I was ok with it. When the notice came that the voice had been re-mastered or whatever you call it, I downloaded it again. I still have the old version so not sure where the new version went, but I was used to young voice so I just finished the book that way.. The new voice to me sounds like she's way older and it makes all the other voices she does be way too low. It makes me tune out so it's harder to focus on this second book.

What did you like best about this story?

I like that it goes into details regarding the bdsm lifestyle with consentuality and communication, leading her slowly and hearing her confusion as she tries to wrap it around her brain in the context of how she was raised and what she knows. It shows the hard side but gives an insight that doesn't make this type of lifestyle all horrible and taboo.

    Which scene was your favorite?

so far, it's hard to choose

What would have made this romance irresistible?

for me...the type of lifestyle makes it irresistible

    Any additional comments?

Other than the new voice, I look forward to getting in the car to listen on my long waits in traffic
