Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow's only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she'd like. Running all their daylight errands - from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg - gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship - and certainly not anything else. But then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and only Iris can help.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. The story is outstanding the characters have a pulse or not but you care for them none the less. I must admit I didn't see some of the plot points coming. This makes the listen all the more enjoyable.

What did you like best about this story?

The wittiness of Iris. There is just something about the skill in which Molly Harper invests into her female protagonists. They have heart, spunk, ingenuity and resourcefulness that tells me that if I had the opportunity to meet any of these wonderful woman including Iris, we would be instant friends.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amanda allows her voice to more than speak the words. She brings passion, mystery and sometimes just plain silliness that I adore. I have loved every last one of her portrayals in Molly Harper's books.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

    Not every day sucks!

    Any additional comments?

If you find this book enjoyable than I would recommend all of the Harper books in the Nice Girls Don't series and Driving Mr. Dead. Ms. Ronconi brings life to the delightful words that Ms. Harper has penned with grace and finesse.

Katie Chandler had always heard that New York is a weird and wonderful place, but this small-town Texas gal had no idea how weird until she moved there. Everywhere she goes, she sees something worth gawking at and Katie is afraid she's a little too normal to make a splash in the big city. Working for an ogre of a boss doesn't help. Then, seemingly out of the blue, Katie gets a job offer from Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc., a company that tricks of the trade to the magic community. For MSI, Katie's ordinariness is an asset.

Would you listen to Enchanted, Inc. again? Why?

Yes the story is charming and I just loved the mix of magic in New York.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Enchanted, Inc.?

When Katie discovers who is the CEO.

Which character – as performed by Eva Wilhelm – was your favorite?

Eva does a wonderful job with all the characters and there was a bucket load for her to remember including all of Katie's friends, few guys that Katie runs across and all of her old and new work collegues.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book was a true delight and allowed me to keep focused on my work while I was listening to this book.

    Any additional comments?

I don’t know about you but every know and again I need a book that is light and fun with a dash of snarky. One of my favorites is Molly Harper’s Half Moon Hollow series and this book came up as similar plus I had Audible credits burning a hole in my pocket so I thought I’d give it a whirl. And I’m pleased that I did.

The first book revolves around Katie Chandler discovering not only that there are magical beings all around her but that she has something that Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc or MSI needs which is individuals that have no magic. This skill allows them to see hidden clauses in contracts, fake spells and even someone that has been cloaked by magic.

Meanwhile she is trying to deal with the fact that at her new job she can see all the magic around her that magical people can’t and she wants to do well at her job and finds the head of Research and Development not only shy but a man she really wants to get to know.

This story is fresh and was a delightful change of pace from the other paranormal and contemporary books that have currently been part of my reading list over the past 6 months or so. This is truly a story that I would have no hesitation in recommending to my grandmother or a teenager that wanted a little romance but nothing over the top. The story is charming in its sweetness and caused me to jump right into book 2, Once Upon Stilettos, as soon as the last word was spoken on my iPhone.

This was my first chance to listen to Eva Wilhelm narrate and she did an outstanding job with all the characters and there were a bucket load. I will definitely be keeping my eyes peeled for other books that she narrates. She keeps the characters voices through out the entire story and made listening to the 10+ hours a true delight.

Final Thoughts: This is a definite book to pick up if you are looking for a change of pace. Yes there is a great story and mystery that weaves its way through out the novel but it easily captures your attention and had me grinning or giggling to myself a number of times as I worked. This would also be a great mother/daughter/grand daughter book. There is enough of suspense and laugh out loud moments that it would also be a great book for a book club. This should be added to your To Be Read/Listened to list and I know I enjoyed the audio version immensely.

Jane Hayes is a seemingly normal young New Yorker, but she has a secret. Her obsession with Mr. Darcy, as played by Colin Firth in the BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, is ruining her love life: no real man can compare. But when a wealthy relative bequeaths her a trip to an English resort catering to Austen-crazed women, Jane's fantasies of meeting the perfect Regency-era gentleman suddenly become realer than she ever could have imagined.

Where does Austenland rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a solid book even if a little on the light side. Author did make me question Jane's choices numerous times through out the story. The basic premise of whether you can believe everything you see and hear when you are living in a make believe world was intriguing.

Would you be willing to try another book from Shannon Hale? Why or why not?

I would. Sometimes a light read on a rainy day is just what the doctor ordered. The idea of a location to play out an Austen drama is intriguing however I can live with out the corsets.

What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?

Katherine does a lovely job making you believe in the characters and especially the quirkiness of our heroine. Delightful job.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I nearly did. Started listening to this novel on a trip out of town and then finished it on a rainy Sunday. I had to know how it finished.
