"No my best but tolerable"
The heroine in this book was way to whiny at times and so ignorant. The hero was not what I would call romantic. But I went along with this book. The narrator was ok. I did not particularly like ther narration of the hero.. She made him sound so slow and his conversations wer choppy. I was read the book and took me about 3 days to get through it. This was not the worst book I have listened to but far from the best... So I gave it 3 stars.
"A different twist"
I just read the second book... The first book still remains my best book..... Despite this I love the story of Mac though he was supposed to be the easily loved of the brother's he didn't get portraited as such.... The story was different....funny at time....but from start to finish we knew what the end would be..... This is a story of fighting for love....hurrying the past and learning to love right. I would recommend to read this book. It's a great series.
"A pleasant surprise"
Angela Dawes is one of those narrators that u either fall in love with or u utterly hate..... She grew on me.... I bought this book a few months ago but did not like her narration at first.... Then just a week ago I noticed I had multiple books purchased but never read.... Its a good thing I gave this book a second chance.... As a narrator she captivated me and I was pleasantly surprised.... To top it off the book was no ordinary romance..... But my the end I was in love with Ian myself..... I just settled to the second book... I hope Mac's story is as good as this! If you are waivering don't; this is a great buy.
"Yes, read it!"
For a year now I have had this on my wish list but dodged it because of the reviews. I LOVE Rosalyn Landor....it was hard to believe that the narration was that poor.... I have 2 other Julie Garwood books that were great but she is not my favorite author..... Finally I got to a point where the new releases were not used to my standard....I was looking through my wish list and settled on finally getting through this book and hoping I can make it to the end... Well I got to the end in one day! I could not put it down... Yes it's not her strongest book... But the narrator does and awesome job and the story is good, entertaining and some humorous parts! I would say this is one book that did not get the best reviews but is really a great read.
"A great disappointment"
I took a risk to listen to this book as I just started getting entertained by Susan's narration...however... I did not read this book past the first 30 minutes.... It was slow.... I may try it later but I really doubt I will get to the end.
"Second time is a charm"
I had listened to Susan's narration once and was sorely disappointed with her performance on that book...I am glad to say she did a far better job with this series...it helps that this was a different kind of series based on generations.....I think the whole summoning the devil and all that was taking it to a different turn but it was a strong enjoyable and entertaining series.
"Okay story"
It is really hard for me to accept keeping secrets from each other. To me the heroine was a little to easy...she forgave her beau after learning of a child he fathered shortly after they separated or her sister stealing her identity.... And the hero came out as a bit soft. However the narrator was ok. I could distinguish the voices and I made to the end because of her.
"Absolutely entertaining!"
SEP never disappoints! I was hesitant because I was so used to Anna fields narration of her books but Shannon was excellent.
"SEP never disappoints with a different flare..."
loved this book. If you are looking for a building romance this is not it. It is without a doubt filled with self distracting characters. it is a story of one woman who could never get a break. from one heart break to the next. finally when she thinks she has found it, it is yanked. in the ends it works out; really it is fate that it works out for her. this book is a roller coaster of emotion. The end is worth though.
"fun"
surprised....i was a bit sceptical of a male narrator....i will say simon is my male version of Rosalyn Landor...great narration! looking forward to this author and narrator!
