Texas was my first home and this really had me thinking of home. I enjoyed the several stories all wrapped in one.
I really hate to dog a narrator but must in this case. While I didn't feel that this was one of the strongest stories by Stephanie Laurens it was done no favors by Jill Tanner. Jill's reading was slow, unenthusiastic and it was often hard to distinguish between the two main characters. I never realized how often Stephanie Laurens used the word "grimaced" until I had to sit through Jill Tanner's pronunciation of the word. It drove me up a tree! This book could only have benefited with Simon Preble.
This is my first book by Georgette Heyer. I can see myself becoming a devoted fan.
Maybe I just expect too much from a book that is to wrap up a wonderful and entertaining series. To say the least, I was extremely disappointed. The storyline was predictable, there was no mystery, no romance and very little interaction with the key characters that built the series. This quick listen just made me sad.
Sanford once again delivers an action packed story with great and quirky characters. Looking forward to the next installment.
Wow. This was a engaging suspense with fabulous plot twists. So many wonderful elements to this book!
I came to the Sookie Stackhouse party late and did not have high hopes of enjoying myself. What a pleasent suprise! I did part of the series on Audible, part on Nook and part on paperback. I read 11 books of the series in 14 days, preordered the latest and read it in one day.
I would highly recommend this series for the fun, quirky characters and would doubly recommend the audible version for Johanna Parker's narration! She did a superb job!
This was my first audiobook and I must say that it was a fabulous was to begin. I am hooked!
This is a beautiful story and is beautifully told by the narrator. I laughed, cried and was sorry when it was over!
