Eliza Naumann, a seemingly unremarkable 9-year-old, expects never to fit into her gifted family: her autodidact father, Saul, absorbed in his study of Jewish mysticism; her brother, Aaron, the vessel of his father's spiritual ambitions; and her brilliant but distant lawyer-mom, Miriam. But when Eliza sweeps her school and district spelling bees in quick succession, Saul takes it as a sign that she is destined for greatness.

This book was interesting and a little mysterious. I think the author does a great job weaving the mystical Jewish storyline to the mystery of the family living together as strangers. Great story

Where does The Case of the Man Who Died Laughing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the most engaging and funny mystery series! If you really want to see India and all the complexities that surround it, you should definitely read this book. He is a master at peeling back the veil and showing what goes on underneath this vibrant culture.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

All the characters were interesting and he kept all the story lines moving in a funny, yet mysterious way.

Which character – as performed by Sam Dastor – was your favorite?

They are all wonderful. Mr. Pulli (aka Chubby) and all the others who support him in his endeavors are wonderfully drawn out in these stories.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Although our detective is somewhat of an egotistical windbag, he is always lovable and able to determine the truth of those who scheme to trick and defraud the good people of New Dehli.

    Any additional comments?

If you enjoy a wonderful mystery with an international flavor, I recommend this series. You wil not be disappointed by either the narration or the story.

The Queen of England has concocted a plan in which penniless aristocrat Lady Georgie is to entertain a Bavarian princess and conveniently place her in the playboy prince's path, in the hopes that he might finally marry.

But queens never take money into account. Georgie has very little, which is why she moonlights as a maid-in-disguise.

What did you love best about A Royal Pain?

I like the characters and the historical background included in the stories.

What does Katherine Kellgren bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

Her English accent as the voice of the young Princess Georgianna is true and makes her seem like a young girl that anyone would want to know.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

This would be a cute series to put on TV.

Which character ??? as performed by Pam Ward and Julia Whelan ??? was your favorite?

All of the characters are richly developed. They are not stereotypical but more like real friends. I really hated for the book to end.

    Any additional comments?

These characters have been encouraging to me in my own sometimes difficult life. I find solace in listening to them as they resolve their struggles. They all feel like regular friends by the end of the book.

The dusty files of a venerable dictionary publisher, a hidden cache of coded clues, a story written by a phantom author, an unsolved murder in a gritty urban park: all collide memorably in Emily Arsenault's magnificent debut, at once a teasing literary puzzle, an ingenious suspense novel, and an exploration of definitions: of words, of who we are, and of the stories we choose to define us.

This New York Times best-seller is the astonishing life story of award-winning humanitarian Ayaan Hirsi Ali. A deeply respected advocate for free speech and women's rights, Hirsi Ali also lives under armed protection because of her outspoken criticism of the Islamic faith in which she was raised.

I am an American citizen currently living in a Muslim country. This book is so real and has a message that all Western societies, particulary women, should embrace and discuss. If I was still in the US, I would want to join a book club just to discuss this book. The author is an excellent narrator and you feel that you know her after listening to her story.
