This book is entertaining. If you are looking for a steamy, sexy story than this should work just fine for you. I didn't really like the male narrator - but I love Kate Rudd. She is the reason I bought the book. The story is predictable, and cheesy at times, but entertaining.
I was so excited for another book by Colleen. I enjoy her writing style and her character development. This love story was unique and I really liked how much the book made me think about love in real life. I do think it is possible to love two people at one time, and it was great to read how Ridge and Sidney went through falling in love but knowing they shouldn't and their efforts to fight it in order to not hurt Maggie. I loved how honest Maggie was with herself and Ridge and how they handled their relationship and their future in such a mature way. I loved how honest Ridge was with Sidney and Maggie the entire time. It was refreshing to have the male character actually confess his true feelings and be a man about it. Love and life is complicated and messy and sometimes it isn't possible to not hurt others along the way, even if you don't want or mean to. Such a good listen!
I liked this book, but I didn't love it. Reasons: It was too long and I got bored. There is one love scene in the entire book - so not steamy enough. I liked the characters, loved the narrator. It could have been a great book -- the beginning of their love story was entertaining...but the last 1/3 of the book was just disappointing.
I love his series! It's entertaining and and the characters are great. Jet and Ayden get to tell their story here. Didn't disappoint!
This story is well written and the narrator was great. I just had a hard time with the intensity. I didn't like the possessiveness and the neediness. It didn't feel like "love" really. It was obsession. It was too much love-hate, and it can be best described as UNHEALTHY. Not an uplifting love story. Lots of angst and fights and sex. I hated Gideon's thinking he owned Ava. The love scenes were very explicit and very intense and a lot of the time dirty. It was too intense for my taste.
Great ending to a great love story. I liked how it switched from Ellery to Connor's point of view in this book. I loved hearing about their challenges as new parents and newly weds…most stories end before you get what happens after they fall in love. You'll love this series.
I love series where the second book tell the story from the guy's point of view. I loved Forever Black so it was great to hear it again, and it get Conner's story in more depth. Great listen!
Great listen! I couldn't stop. I think I listened to the series in the span of four days. I fell in love with all of the characters in the story and I got so wrapped up in them. It was a total shocker when you find out why Ellery and her boyfriend really broke up. I wasn't expecting that turn of events. Ellery is one of my favorite characters. She is honest, free, and strong. Connor is intriguing and mysterious, and you want to keep reading to figure out what makes him tick.
I have listened to all of the books out in this series. I kind of wished I would have stopped after book one. I guess it's saying something that I kept going, but I'm not sure still how I feel about it. I am not loving that she is an escort. It isn't a lifestyle I support or even understand really. I really don't like Sean's crazy fetish in the bedroom and it seriously weirds me out. It makes me not really like Sean, which ruins the story. It pushes the line way further than I like. It is also super irritating that each book is like 2 hours long. I didn't realize that when I bought the first one.
I love the Rush and Blair story, it is my favorite of Abbi Glines. I was glad to see things get resolved with Rush and his crazy family, and more importantly, with Blair and her father. Blair and Rush's love is easy to lost in. Can't wait for the series to continue!
I am loving this Marked Men series. I love her writing style and her characters. I feel like I am friends with all of them. This is Rome and Cora's story. I loved Cora in Rule and Jet's books so I am glad she gets to find her happily ever after. I liked how Rome wasn't what she was picturing as her forever guy, but she knew herself well enough to let the cards fall where they may. Rome is going through PTSD from the war, and she is his reason to get better. It's just a great story! I can't wait until the next book comes out.
