"The Origins of Australian Icons"
Once again full of laughter out loud even on your own. Love Terry Pratchett's sense of humour and realistic view of the world. Make sure your sense of humour is open to the subtle bits. A total delight!
"Sam Vines at his best again"
Love the Sam Vines book and his character development. Once again Disc World is in chaos. Look for the little bits of humour, they are the best, although I wonder if the last laugh isn't on all of us!
"Tiffany growing up"
Yes, perhaps needed for Tiffany's development as a character, but I hope she soon gets a sense of humour. She is soooo serious. Luckily there are other characters who lighten it up a bit. Love the new boyfriend.
"Ajax is of course the winner"
Slightly predicatable, but a good light read. Not Georgette Heyer at her best. Daniel Philpott gives a good performance.
"Predicatable"
Sorry Georgette Heyer, just a bit too romantic and lovey dovey. I think you have done better on some of your other books.
"Bit too bloodthirsty for me"
If you like the idea of killing others off, especially the protagonist, this would be the book for you. The male reading leaves a bit to be desired.
"Family Ties"
Once again Georgette Heyer surprised me with her rich characterisation and the diversity of characters developed through the story. Light reading, don't expect anything too in depth, but very enjoyable.
"Delightful"
What a great collection of characters, developing with their own special traits. A humerous and good read. One of Georgette heyer's best characterisations.
"Slow but sucessful"
The development of this plot is quite slow even the ending being a slow climax. The characters are enlivened by the father-in-law. Good book for characterisation
"Echo in the Bone"
How could you leave us for two years in susspense working out what comes next? Please put the sequel out in 2011 and don't leave us for another year. Love the way all the characters are developing and growing into the plot. A great read but don't make the mistake of starting here, start with the first in the series and enjoy the whole story.
