This is the first of the trilogy. It is so sweet but also scary. It had me from the first sentence. I've never read a story like this one. It flows so well and easy. I listened to it in one day. Susan Ericksen is the best.
This is a powerful and heartbreaking story. Having worked in the Judicial system for years, I had no problem in feeling for the jury, as well as, the victim's family, and for those of Scott's family who loved him dearly. However, the narrator was terrible. I nearly quit listening three times because of her dull monotone performance but the story kept me going.
One of the very best in the "In Death" series. It was interesting from the very start. I love Eve's fear of shopping. I was really hoping Peabody would at the very least get engaged in this one. I'm going to listen to it again. I highly recommend this book.
I was very aware of Neil Armstrong but didn't know much about him. This book was written by one of closest friends. He was a very humble man and did not like to be in the spotlight. The info in this book was wonderful and informative, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand what was happening. I laughed and cried. I am buying it for my 12 year old grandson. It's that good. I've listened to it twice already.
It was horrible. The narrator was absolutely the worst I've ever heard. I hated all of it. I can't find a single thing good about it.
I have every book in this series and, I believe, this is my favorite. The story line is so touching without being sappy. Eve and Rourke are great together in this book. This book really seemed real to me.
I really enjoyed this book. Even though the subject matter is "out there", it takes my mind off of the daily things in life that get boring. I think it's written well.
Once again, a story that has everything, romance, werewolves, suspense, mystery, and best of all humor. Molly Harper tells a story like no one else; and Amanda Ronconi is the best person ever to read the story. Please don't ever change that. Looking forward to the next book.
I was terribly disappointed in this book. I've read everything by Ms. Cornwell and I love this series. This took several chapters of "the poor little me's" to get to the story line. After the story started to unfold, it was good. But really I almost stopped listening before the story was to the point it was like it should be. I hope the next book will be better.
As always I was hooked from the first page. I love all of the main characters in the "in death" series. I can hardly wait for the next book.
I really was looking forward to this book but it was so disappointing and much to my surprise it was boring. I would not recommend it because I felt it was a waste of my time.
