I highly recommend this book to anyone that want's a better glimpse at what kind of sleaze that populates politics. Beyond even Edward's affair your get a feel for just how shallow and manipulative these people are. If you love to believe in platitudes, claims of hope, change, fighting poverty and two Americas, and changing the status quo... this book isn't for you.
I aplaude the author who's currently embattled in legal matters for making this revealing book. He put his neck on the line and got nothing for his efforts in helping the disgraced John Edwards. Hopefully his work in writing this book will help people to look for truly genuine, honest, common sense intelligent politicians that represent them and are true to their beliefs... and not just saying something so they can get votes and suckle at the teet of wealthy donors, celebrities and the elite.
A superb analysis of the failings and unprecedented tactics employed by a naïve President who seeks to attack and vilify his opponents and the very institutions and values that made America the power that it has been.
Considering this is the first thriller by Glenn Beck and also factoring in just how many other mediums (Radio, Television and Non-Fiction Books) he occupies his time with I was highly impressed. I would have been impressed if he was merely a full-time author. It's a perfect well told story of a progressive movement to alter the very country.
Only a couple complaints. I too was hoping to get more in-depth about what points in the book were based on fact. They glossed over this at the end and I was disappointed in that. Also, the book was far too short. I was left wanting more or at least even more resolution. So I hope there will be a follow-up in the works for The Overton Window.
It was nice to see a book on Limbaugh written by an outsider that wasn't setting out to destroy the man in the process of writing the book. It's the most honest genuine interpretation of Limbaugh that anyone could have hoped for.
While I'm not certain Zev fully embraces or understands Rush's take on everything or his logic in doing so he makes an earnest effort to tell the motivations and inspirations. This book is well worth the time to get a better bit of insight to Rush and how he came to be where he's at and what inspires him.
The humor and views of Greg Gutfeld are the reason I love watching his show Red Eye on FoxNews. This book is a larger continuation of his Greg-a-logue and was well worth the listen. I also enjoyed the additional interview at the end. There's nobody that can duplicate Greg's comedic sense of humor which makes him narrating this book even more perfect. His Conservative/Libertarian views are well illustrated as he shotguns his well-thought stance on an array of topics. A GREAT BOOK!
An outstanding twisting tale of good vs. evil. Stephen King nails it and paints a vivid tale of a very troubled small Maine town with an ancient evil lurking beneath the surface.
A great read and one, if not the greatest books dealing with power productivity practices. If you're ever wanting to accomplish more in life and not to get buried in paperwork or mired in endless projects, this is the book for you!
At times the book seemed to serve the purpose to tell the story of Patton, and at others it seemed to have more of a purpose to undermine Patton and his character and find fault his tactics and approach to situations. I did enjoy the historical aspects, but it seemed as though the author was out to subtly discredit the man.
A very telling recount of the former First Lady leading up from her youth to present day and focusing heavily during the span of time between 2000-2008. Laura Bush touches on very personal moments of her life and beautifully details what is was like growing up in Midland, Texas.
I wasn't quite certain what to expect, but after listening to the entire book I'm glad I opted to give this book a try. Joe Hill paints a very vivid tale throughout the the story. The further the twisted tale unravels, the harder it becomes to put down. I'd highly recommend this book!
The author's recount of her experiences with serial killers and views of past notorious killers makes for a great read.
