"Tedious"
I had a difficult time forcing myself to finish this book. Far cry from when you hear him on Blue Collar TV! It was an entire book about his life from grade school on. If you were 10 years old (or younger) you might think this book is funny. This definitely is not the book to listen to if you like more mature humor (over ten years of age).
"Mediocre!"
This was one of those books that you know you've wasted a good credit . I couldn't get through chapter 3. By this time I didn't think it would get better. Absolutely no interest in the ramblings of a pre-teen boy's life. And the little sexual innuendo's that kept coming up. There was nothing funny about this listen at all.
"Great story"
This was a great listen. The narrator was especially talented, between the accents and voices. The characters were interesting also, but I was waiting for the epilogue, but it wasn't there. I would have liked to hear the wrap up on the other characters.
"Good book."
Enjoyable book. By the time I got past the first chapter it was very hard to stop listening. A few good and unexpected twists which for myself I didn't see it coming. Which just that in itself for me makes a good listen.
"Another Winner!"
Can't wait to hear the next book of this series! She's a great writer and I liked the fact that she just briefly touched base regarding her earlier books as a small reminder of what had transpired previously without going in to a lot of detail. Again, as with the first 2 books of this series, I didn't want to stop listening.
"Boring"
I finally got through this listen, it was really a slow read. For what the book was about, it could have wrapped up the story in half the time. Very long a drawn out....
"Enjoyable listen"
This book was enjoyable and the book was predictable but it still was fun to hear. Very lighthearted and well written.
"depressingly awful"
Since I used a credit for this book, I forced myself to listen to the whole thing. The only good thing about this "fairy tale" was the narrator and it was read very well. Other listeners compare this book with Sleeping Beauty, well, one thing for sure, this isn't a fairy tale for children with all the hate and violence.
"Pleasant listen"
I enjoyed this book, it held my interest. The only thing I wasn't happy (and this is just my opinion) with was the end of the book. I feel the ending should have tied up some major loose ends with the final confrontation of two of the top main characters, instead of leaving us so to speak "left on the outside steps".
"Interesting"
This was an entertaining listen. But leaving you with some unanswered questions about some of the celebs.
"Nice listen"
I had previously listened to the House on Trad street and found quite good, but even though this book was good, I feel it missed the mark a bit. In her first book the main character had psychic talents that she used, but in this book her talent was sorry missing and relied way too much on her mothers talent. At the end of the book she never tied up any of the loose ends and left you just waiting for the finish. Even the first book didn't leave you hanging as bad as this one did and you knew you could listen the the sequel to see how it all ended. But this one didn't. Now, is there eventually going to be a sequel to this one?
