This is by far, the most frightening book I've ever read.
I love long epics that span generations, but this one left my cringing. I rolled my eyes and thought "oh, come on!" too many times. Also a few instances where the time line was off. The narration, however, is excellent.
If you think you have even an "idea" of what it would mean for a blind person to regain sight, this book will "open your eyes". I couldn't stop listening... Kurson does an incredible job of blending the emotional, the technical, and the theoretical aspects of Mike May's story.
This is one I push on my friends that don't think they could listen to audiobooks [grin]
Perfect for a family road trip...
This book kept everyone's attention -- from the six-year-old right up to the forty-something driver.
The miles of the road trip flew by.... just a wonderful "feel good" book.
