Yes, it stretches me! I've really enjoyed what I've been able to understand. LOVED it when the announcement about the Higgs Boson was made regarding dark matter, and at least I had an inkling what they were talking about!!

Yes, I have already. I have shared it with my 11 year old son, just to stretch his thinking as well. It's ok to listen and not understand every word and concept!

Diana Gabaldon is an artist with words, painting a picture that has the characters coming to life. Davina Porter is a performer, bringing Gabaldon's words to life. I've read the series, but I could not appreciate the beauty of the French and Scottish words without being able to hear them, and Davina Porter brings them to life!

Purchased this book as a $4.95 deal. It's a genre I wouldn't have normally read, but as a new Audible customer, I have enjoyed exploring something new. The narrators are a man and woman, which makes the story telling more interesting, and even humorous. I've been nicely surprised with this book!

The narrator is great, she reads like she is telling the story first hand. Listening had a special effect, I didn't have to concentrate on the words, I just let the story flow over me. It's hard to describe, but it would not have been the same had I read it myself. Some stories are just like that.

It was so real. Sometimes a scene would unfold in the smallest detail, like what to pack in Monster, and it was like zooming you in to the story. You were there. And as the story continued, you could feel the weight lifting as she emptied some of the contents of that monstrous bag. Loved it.

Because of the personal nature of the book, it would be hard to listen to the whole thing in one sitting. I needed time in between to digest. To settle myself, to think about what I'd heard.
