The Story line was not as good as the previous books. It seems that the author is not as invested in the series as she was before. I am not sure if I will continue with the series.
The story is different, finally. It was not the same as her previous Breed story lines. Both parties were running from each other, well not from each other, but from the mating. This made for an interesting read/listen. Also there were insights to other main characters, i.e. Dane.
Okay, for the most part Ms. Bronte's performance is good. I could not do half as good as she does. However, there are too many times when she is overly dramatic. Also, her mispronunciations take away from her performance (machinations and virulent).
I hope that she develops a story for Candy Sweet, and Thea. They should not be left in pain.
What I really can't wait for is Dane's story. Also, I would like more interaction of the past main characters the new characters. What are Callan's other brother-in-laws doing?
If you have the right performer audio is always better than print. I can hear the different nuisances and you can't read that.
I like the fact that the main characters have a history. I don't want to give too much away, but you would have never thought that 'he' would have a history with anyone. His silence was pristine. But with dogged determination he sought out his prey.
Hawke is always my favorite although he is not featured much in this book. I also like the way she performs Ming, however, the Ming in this book did not the Ming in the past books. The one in the past books is the one I like the best. I think that she nails his calculated personality.
NOT to be missed!!
I enjoy this series so much I hate when I finish the book. I am impatient for the next release. I know it will most likely be a year before the next installment.
The book is up there. I will most likely listen to it again. That is why I think that it should have been longer. I hate it when a good story is short.
I liked the begining when all of the 'cubs' were described. I liked the whole story but the begining let me know there were others for which to look.
He was excellent!! The men sounded like men an the women sounded like women. He even can do little children. He struck just the right tone and everything. I will look for more books performed by him.
When the couple was reunited and before the wedding ceremony. I appreciate his reasoning on his restraint.
The story was great and Angela Dawe was awesome. I loved this story. So much so I listened to it twice! I liked the fact that Ian, although the protector was also fragile and vulnerable, while at the same time had such strength of character, but most importantly he was sincere. I was happy that Beth did not give up on him although he had some obvious disabilities. I liked the fact that the story line was not obvious. I can't say enough. I liked the book so much I don't think that I will wait for credits to purchase the rest of the series.
This is one of my favorite books and one of the best from Nalini Singh. She shows the strength of Riaz and Adria along with their vulnerability. I like also how previous characters, ones that you have become invested in, are involved with the story. You are not left wondering what is going on with their lives. Angela Dawe is AWESOME. From the first book in the series to the latest, you know who is who. Lucas sounds like Lucas and Hawke sounds like Hawke.
The narrator was excellent, but that would not have mattered if the story was not great. When I read the synopsis I knew I wanted to get the book. After I played a sample I had to get the book. The story is very original. I would recommend this book to anyone. I can not wait until the second book is released. I hope that she sticks to the same narrator or someone equally as good.
I am not into demons and ghosts and vampires and things like that. If I had known that this was one of those kinds of books I would not have bought it. I do not read or recommend books like that.
Yes. I like the story. It had it all. Concern for family, concern for the mission, concern for each other even though they tried to hide it.
The most memorable was the end. A Breed finally recognized the worth of his mate and went on his knees for her. I get that the Breeds are dominant, but it gets boring time after time how they show their dominence.
This time, nothing. Since mostly everyone was foreign the accents and the voices were different from all the other previous breeds.
A love unrecognized, will it have time to devlope or will death win in the end?
I think that this story was nicely devloped and the story line was not rushed.
I liked Rule. He got to see what Jonas goes through.
Excellent with accents
I did not plan to do so, but the book was not that long so I was able to.
