I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. I do believe this may be Craig's best Longmire book yet! It was hard for me to put down.
As always Walt and the "Bear". Craig Johnson expands each character individually as well as the friendship with each book. It amazes me at the complexity, but yet simplicity he uses to develop the characters.
Vander Ross............. quite the comical character, but I also enjoyed the intensity with which George Guidall expressed of the scene in Shortdrop between Walt and the Lanyer gang after the Sheriffs substation burnt down taking the life of Double Tough. It was as if I was part of the scene taking place before me.
This would be hard one for me. I watch the Longmire TV series and while I enjoy the TV show; I enjoy the books so much more.
I have truly enjoyed the Longmire series and I hope Craig will continue with this wonderful series.
This is a short book. Good thing.....this book is one that is better read instead of listening to it. The narrator read the book as if he was in a hurry; without giving much thought as to how or what he was reading.
Edward Lewis would have been fine as the narrator if he would have slowed down and give some thought as to what was being read.
Not necessarily. You can not underline passages in the audio version, but if you are strapped for time it is good to listen to the book before you purchase it as a reference.
Now Discover Your Strengths. Recommended reading for anyone in management.
The characters, it is always about the characters and I love the characters of Bally Buckle Bow!
This series is just good reading.....to compare them to any other series does them an injustice. Good clean reading.
John Keating is the perfect narrator for this series of books.
Why in Heaven's name would I want to rename the book. The title is perfect as it is, ah so...
I had thought this book was about the Book of Isaiah from the Old Testament. The writings of Isaiah the Prophet. If is was based on Isaiah's writings, I missed something while listening.
I will have to go back and listen to this one again before I listen to another of Mr. Braden's books.
He is a good reader.
I am not certain.
I am not sure I would recommend this book to someone else. Confusing.
Yes. It is spell binding-good mystery.
it kept me interested. Always wanted to know more.
Finally when Martha and Stranahan quit dancing around each other.
Captivating, funny, and interesting
Walt is a cowboy who is willing to give the benefit of the doubt, accept people for who they are, but yet he still lives by the law.
I love George Guidall's performance. He is a male voice, but he performs Vic and Ruby with finesse.
Yes, Yes, Yes,......
I love the Walt Longmire books and I do watch the television series; however the television series cannot, does not hold a candle to the books.
I would like to say a different narrator, but the story is a very immature story line.
Very immature writing style; the story line seemed to be more about the sexual innuendos then solving of the murders.
It is very obvious the narrator is attempting to impersonate a male voice. However, it is poorly done and very distracting when you are trying to listen to the reader.
I would definitely do away with the sexual undertones and innuendos, the curse words especially the f word. The use of these gimmicks to make a story more interesting is in very poor taste and leaves the writing talent questionable.
I would not recommend this book.
I love the story line that Patrick Taylor has developed from the original series of Bally Buckle Bo.
When she discovered her gift of sight.
The night the "Sheperd" rescued then young man and led him to Kinky's house.
I would not want to rename the book. An Irish Country Girl is the perfect title.
Would love to see additional writings based on Kinky Kincaid.
Good easy read.
The almost near drowning of Stranahan by the murderer.
Not really-the book is an enjoyable, easy read, mystery.
If there is a negative the character which is the actual murderer is not introduced in the book until you are halfway into the book. I personally like for all the characters to be introduced up front. Let the games begin!
The book is written about prophecy and the "end times". Fascinating read for me.
The author's explanation of the end time prophecy.
No. This book was my first.
I enjoyed listening to this book very much. So much that I have purchased the hard copy as well.
