I enjoy listening to the series by Michael McGarrity. These books are a series so therefore, he doesn't necessarily tie everything together before one book ends. In other words, if you enjoy the book you keep coming back for more. I like the main character Kearney. I envision him as a John Wayne and I appreciate the way that McGarrity lets us have little glimpses into his past as well as he current situations. I would recommend these books to anyone who enjoys reading a good detective mystery.
Very encouraging and inspirational. I have listened to it several times especially when I need encouragement in my writing.
I can not say I have one favorite; they all are my favorites.
Each writer read their own; I like this.
Yes. The accounts of the Jews who survived the most horrific time of the 20th century must be told and never forgotten. These people along with many others who survived and many who did not survive were the greatest generation and they are HEROES!
The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom,
The liberation of the Dutch people.
Just as the title says: Flory: A Miraculous Story of Survival.
One of the best books I have listened to from Audible. If I could give it 10 stars I would.
It would not be in my top ten, but it was a good story and a easy listen.
A watered down detective story.
I do not believe this book would be made into a film without a stronger story line.
There are so many aspects of Krueger's writings that make his stories enjoyable. The characters, the story line, etc.
Rose's willingness to help out. I just love Rose's character.
When it finally clicked in Cork's brain who dun it.
I enjoy the Cork O'Connor series, but this story was one of pain and sadness. William Kent Krueger is a good writer and I do enjoy his books; however, this one seem to dwell on the past. Apparently I have missed the book in which Cork's wife dies and Cork now seems to be at odds with his life. I understand grief and the spiritual side of life; I suppose this is one of the reasons I do like to read Krueger as he adds spirituality to all his writings. I would recommend this book for someone who enjoys mysteries and what can I say about David Chandler's narration other than he is a class act; he is one of my favorite narrators!
This was the first story by Karin Slaughter that I have read/listened to. I listen and read.......so enjoy the ability to do this! This story compelled me to purchase other books by this author and I have enjoyed reading/listening to them.
I have enjoyed the series by Karin Slaughter and the narration by Kathleen Early. This series of books takes place in Atlanta, GA and being from the south, I am naturally interested to read/listen to any book which takes place in the South. Try the series; will keep you interested as you enter underworld of all the characters..............
I really enjoy this series and I have read/listened to several of them. I especially enjoy David Chandler as the narrator. If you really like mysteries with good story lines, characterization, etc.; let me encourage you to consider trying this series.
The characters in this series is really what makes these books so enjoyable. I love the story line and the narrator adds so much to the imagination.
Not only do I listen to CJ Box, but I buy the Kindle version whenever it is offered as well..
