Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

This story was just so absurd and so painfully ridiculous, I couldn't stand listening to it! The characters are just as stupid...sooo unrealistic!

Has Guilty Wives turned you off from other books in this genre?

    I'm giving up on James Patterson...he's a total sell-out.

    Any additional comments?

In the heyday of the British Raj, Anahita becomes Princess Indira’s official companion, and accompanies her to England just before the outbreak of the Great War. There, she meets the young Donald Astbury – reluctant heir to a magnificent, estate – and his scheming mother. Eighty years later, Rebecca Bradley, a young American film star, has the world at her feet. Her latest role, playing a 1920s debutante, takes her to the now-crumbling Astbury Hall…

Loved this story for the obvious reasons...romance, history, past vs. present...it's all there. In my humble opinion, this is the perfect recipe for a great AUDIObook: lots of great stories out there, but the narrator makes this awesome! (So many narrators today are annoying and just plain bad! They over-enunciate and are flat and boring.) Ms. Srinivasan really brings this to life.

After working one of the worst mass killings in U.S. history, Scarpetta returns home to Cambridge, Massachusetts. Exhausted and ill, she's recovering at home when she receives an unsettling call. The body of a young woman has been discovered on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's rugby field. The victim, a graduate student named Gail Shipman, is oddly draped in ivory linen and posed in a way that is too deliberate to be the killer's first strike.

Same old story. Everyone is either in love with Scarpetta or out to get her. I mean, really? But the worst part of this audiobook is the narrator. She absolutely ruins the book. She
    sounds like a robot...a bored robot, if that's possible. She has to e-nun-ci-ate e-ve-ry syl-la-ble. Total snooze-fest!!

A luxurious yacht in the Sea of Cortez, a birthday cruise for one of the world’s most beautiful women and an invitation no one can refuse...The Power Trip - take if it you dare. From Hollywood icon and mega-seller Jackie Collins comes a thrilling new novel, The Power Trip, set on a state of the art luxury yacht off the coast of Cabo San Lucas. A tropical getaway with a cast of global power-hungry elites turns sour when they find out maybe they don't control as much of the world as they thought....

This book was so bad...how many times can you weave the same sex acts in the same way between 5 couples in one book?? I expected some of this, but soooo laughable! Some one needs to tell Jackie Collins that a 13 year old prepubescent boy has hacked her identity and written this book! And the female narrators were terrible - Jackie sounds like she has a mouthful of marbles!

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

Jan says: "What a great surprise!"
    "Incredible Story! Outstanding Narrators!"
    Overall

I really loved this book...obviously...everyone loved it!? The narrators really made this book come alive. I've listened to hundreds of audiobooks, and this is by far the best match of story with narrators. I so wish the Audiobook publishers could learn a lesson from this - too many good books are ruined by bad narrators!
