Let's get one thing straight, if your looking for someone to say all nice things about everyone, you've got the wrong book and author. Anthony says it like it is, or like it is to him. No mincing words here, but that's what I guess I like. Superstar Chef, no but someone that loves food and knows food and tells you what he thinks of the world of food, chef's , writers and more. I like it even more since he actually reads the book . Love hearing it in his own words, voice. Hope one day I'll have the pleasure of sitting down and having some food and drink with Anthony straight up.
I actually listened to this book as I ran. It was interesting to listen to something that was connected to what I was doing. In actual fact I'm really a cyclist and was training for a Triathlon and someone at an airport suggested I pick this up. Lots of great little bits about running and how this author reacts to it. This not teach you how to run , but it certainly gives you a perspective from this authors point of view.
This is really one of those books you listen to a month before you go and get a glimpse of things that might be of interest about Provence. Simple, but not something I would listen to again , unless I was going to Provence.
Gary tells you the ways he's worked on getting his brand noticed and simple techniques that work, but remember it is work, not a free ride. Listen to him rather than read as Gary's passion in his actual words might rub off.
Gordon has always impressed me in being real, yes he swears, but have you ever been to a kitchen that doesn't?
Gordon tells us his story in his own words and I appreciate that he did as it would have been weird listening to someone else tell his story. Once you've heard his story , you can come to understand why he has moved into his well deserved position. I hope he puts out something of like stories in the kitchen.
