I joined a book club and this was the first book they chose to do. I wouldn't have read this book otherwise. But I really enjoyed Jeremy Irons reading this. You will like this book if you like new age religious themes.

This was a crazy listen. Much like the movie Speed, or the novel Dr. Zhivago, the characters in this book keep having to deal with situations and circumstances beyond their normal lives. There are a lot of characters, but they are all integral to the story and even though it seems convoluted and expansive at times, the story does pull it all together in the end. I listen to this at work for background noise while creating publications and I found myself drawn more and more into the story, not noticing until my screen saver kicks in that I haven't been working, (so be careful!).

The female characters were all wonderful. It really is a great character study.

I have never listened to Malcolm before, but look forward to his other performances. He did really good with separating the multiple characters and their accents.

I always wanted to know what was happening next.

Do not listen to this book if you are doing anything else! Especially around the end!

Its honest, delightful, heart wrenching.

That the teenagers felt like teenagers.

Kate Rudd did a great job being Hazel Grace, especially the struggling to breathe.

I have listened to this story over and over again and have recommended it to many people. The characters were so well written, even the ones on the outskirts of the story. I'm definitely going to read/listen to more of his books.
