The Guide to Investing Gold and Silver tells listeners the essential history of economic cycles that make gold and silver the ultimate monetary standard; how the U.S. government is driving inflation by diluting our money supply and weakening our purchasing power; and much more.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Most people have no idea what is really happening in the world of money and why. This book lifts that veil and exposed the age-old tug-of-war between "currencies" and "real money".

What other book might you compare Rich Dad's Advisors to and why?

The only other book that has had a bigger impact on my investment choices, was Rich Dad Poor Dad.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Where the author describes how the Roman Empire was REALLY destroyed and how the same scenario is building up to repeat itself in the near future.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As the currency vs gold mistakes of yesterday were pointed out, I could not help but laugh at how current & relevant in today's world they still are. Our politicians & bankers the world over are doing it AGAIN.

    Any additional comments?

If the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over & over expecting a different result, then I'm afraid the world has been insane for centuries. This book shows this insanity in it's truest colors and gives the reader/listener the chance to make sane investment choices.

We colonized 700 planets. Humankind enjoyed the benefits of expansion room and the end of wars. We even disbanded our military. Then the Krall found us. The Krall have used thousands of years of combat to select the genes of the strongest and fastest warriors. They are a species determined to dominate the entire galaxy, through destruction and annihilation of every opponent.

Koban is an uninhabited high-gravity planet with impossibly fast savage animals, which employ organic superconducting nerves. This deadly world is where the Krall tested humans for war capability.

What made the experience of listening to Koban, Book 1 the most enjoyable?

The time-setting of the story, where humanity is a space-faring race exploring the galaxy, as is inevitably our destiny. I very much enjoyed the re-awakening of the warrior spirit of the human race in the face of overwhelming odds & a terrible foe.
The narrator also had a real talent for making the different characters "sound" different.

What other book might you compare Koban, Book 1 to and why?

Not a book, but a TV Series that I enjoyed very much: Stargate Universe. I think that the Koban Series would make a fascinating TV Series & do hope that it gets there.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Where the human's were being battle-tested & the enemy got more than they bargained for from mere "animals". Making the listener think that the "human clan leader" had perished for a while was a good twist.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, absolutely. It was hard to pause, go to sleep & wait for my next opportunity to listen further.

    Any additional comments?

I found this audio-book by chance but must say, it was a real pleasure to listen to. I couldn't wait to download the second book. I appreciate the research into actual science (biological & theoretical physics) the author must have done. All of the technological advances explored in the book are plausible considering what scientists are already working on today. I like my sci-fi with a healthy dose of realistic & this book managed to pull off.

Here are four stories derived from the same universe as the Koban series. Listening to the series is not required to understand and enjoy these stand-alone tales.Australian Krall: A fully gene-enhanced Kobani woman finds herself trapped in total darkness and underground, pursued by hundreds of slavering, semi-sentient, maniacally aggressive, and hungry aliens. Walk with her on the dark side!

If you could sum up Koban Universe 1 in three words, what would they be?

    interesting, yet dissapointing

What did you like best about this story?

some of characters I liked in the first two audio-books re-appeared, yet very superficially

    Which scene was your favorite?

    the bar-fight towards the end

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

not this time. I expected much more

    Any additional comments?

Compared to the previous two audio-books, Koban Universe was too short & left too much unexplored. I expected more about what happened in the war effort now that the Kobani's had jump-capable ships.
