"A Wonderful Personal Journey"
Heartfelt, genuine & insightful.
"Letting go of God" by Julia Sweeney.
Seth is very personal. His read feels like a one on one conversation & draws you in.
Assume Nothing. Question Everything. Open Your Eyes. Challenge the Opposition & Start Thinking...
I was really looking forward to this audiobook. It did not disappoint. Seth wrote a wonderful book about his transition from Christian to Atheist. One that many of us can relate to.
"Rock solid case against Oswald"
While the audiobook is great, it is horribly abridged. However this is understandable considering the print version is well over 1600 pages not including the CD-Rom that is included. Having said this, if you want to understand HOW we know Oswald acted alone & HOW we know there was no conspiracy. This audiobook is for you. The author does a wonderful job laying out a case against Oswald while also disproving the foundation of any and all conspiracies. After reading this book several years ago & recently re-reading via audiobook, I have a much better understanding of how & why the conspiracy culture grew out of this seemingly complex but ultimately simple case. This book does not address all conspiracy theories out there, that would be impossible. What it does do is knock the legs out from under the bases on which the variety of conspiracy theories are based.
His case is grounded in both physical evidence & reason.
I have not but I thought Edward did a wonderful job.
No, but I really only do that with fiction
"Personal Journey of Breaking Free & Discovery"
The author really personalizes her journey. I can feel the sadness, but never wavering promise of hope in her words. It's not a book that will help you understand Scientology as much as others like "Going Clear" will. However it will make the walls (both physical & mental) that surround the mysterious religion seem so overbearing and intimidating that by the end of the book you are literally cheering her on as she breaks free.
I see this book as more of a love story than anything else. I don't want to spoil it.
Sandy's read is filled with such passion, I originally thought the book was read by the author.
Jenna's ultimate escape is truly captivating. You will literally not be able to stop listening during the last third of the book.
It's so lame to say this... but this would make a great movie.
