This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I liked the first two, but this one was like a train wreck. I couldn't stop listening, because I kept thinking something would happen that would pull me in. Nope!

It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

If you could sum up The Book Thief in three words, what would they be?

    Riveting, Thoughtful, Meaningful

What did you like best about this story?

I like that Death tells the story, but also that it teaches a lesson and the heartache involved with the time and place the story is told.

This is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man's search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and the indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

Would you try another book from Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl and/or Kevin T. Collins?

    I would

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The book had a few twists, but it was a bit obvious.

What about Kevin T. Collins’s performance did you like?

    He's great.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I did....I hated the movie and it upset me that Kami and Margaret would allow that to happen. The movie was so off from the book. Ridiculous.
