I most definitely would recommend this book to anyone, young or older! In fact I did immediately after finishing it.
The final chapter was the most memorable, although all the book was one I'll never forget.
The performers must have been selected carefully because each was perfect for his part. BUT the elder Jake was terrific!
Absolutely the 90...or 93 ...year old Jake.
I have always been a Coulter fan but this book adds a new dimension to her FBI series. I can't wait until Book 2 comes out! Drummond is a great character and plays well with Savage & Sherlock. But the thing that gives this book a 5 star rating are the performers. They hit their mark dead on!!! I will listen to every book they perform! And it so nice to hear a female perform a female role and likewise a male a male role. It is very refreshing!!
I finally finished the book but it was difficult to get past McFadden's Valley Girl voice. She sounded about 12 years old and she butchered the Minnesota accent with shades of Valley Girl. Book was another good Garwood story but get a new performer!
Private London ranks only second to Patterson's Private book about the London Olympics. Just when I think he has to be burning out, he hits another homer!
I would most definitely listen to this novel again. With military action involved, you just can't catch it all the first time!
Roarke would be my favorite character...strong convictions and loyal to his men.
Weber performed all characters well but he really seemed to get "into" Noland & Roarke.
The book is not a "laughing" type of book but I sure did cry! Anyone who is connected with the military, either past or present, couldn't help having a visceral reaction to this novel!
This novel is not just a "guy" novel. Ladies, give it a try!
