Here on Earth, Danny North is still in high school, yet he holds in his heart and mind all the stolen outselves of 13 centuries of gatemages. The Families still want to kill him if they can’t control him - and they can’t control him; he is far too powerful. On Westil, Wad is now nearly powerless - he lost everything to Danny in their struggle. Even if he can survive the revenge of his enemies, he must still somehow make peace with the Gatemage Daniel North, for when Danny took that power from Loki, he also took responsibility for the Great Gates.

Where does The Gate Thief rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

The story is very interesting. The problem as a listener is the way the towns in the story are constantly mispronounced .

The ability to heal the coaches daughter.

What three words best describe Stefan Rudnicki and Emily Rankin ’s performance?

Emily Rankin's performance is wonderful. Stefan constantly mispronounced Buena Vista and Staunton that I focused on that than the story. He should ask Mr. Card on the correct pronouncement .

Crossover sensation Melissa de la Cruz created an instant New York Times best seller with the inventive Witches of East End. In this follow-up, everything is going smoothly in North Hampton now that Joanna and her daughters, Ingrid and Freya, are allowed to perform magic again. But chaos erupts with the arrival of Freya’s twin brother, Freddie, who’s finally escaped from Limbo. And Freddie’s convinced that Freya’s fiancé, Killian Gardiner, is the one who landed him there in the first place.

  • Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine and the Murder of a President

    • UNABRIDGED (9 hrs and 47 mins)
    • By Candice Millard
    • Narrated By Paul Michael
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

James A. Garfield may have been the most extraordinary man ever elected president. Born into abject poverty, he rose to become a wunderkind scholar, a Civil War hero, and a renowned and admired reformist congressman. Nominated for president against his will, he engaged in a fierce battle with the corrupt political establishment. But four months after his inauguration, a deranged office seeker tracked Garfield down and shot him in the back. But the shot didn’t kill Garfield. The drama of what happened subsequently is a powerful story of a nation in turmoil.

    Melinda says: "Marvelous, Magnificent, Millard"
"This book is for any true history fan."
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I bought the book to learn more about President Garfield and now I would rate him in my top 10 presidents. The changes that occurred because of this man's short presidency is mind boggling.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The amount of effort put forward by the country trying to save this man's life is so heartwarming. The inventions and better health for us all changed rapidly due to this man's life.
