Seconds before the Earth is demolished to make way for a galactic freeway, Arthur Dent is plucked off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher for the revised edition of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy who, for the last 15 years, has been posing as an out-of-work actor.

I bought the audio because of the popularity of the book. I must say that this is the oddest book I have ever (read). I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. I like science fiction and English humor, but i didn't find the book funny as some did. It took me awhile but then I did start to get into the strange story line and just as I was starting to enjoy all the oddness of what was happening, it was over. I actually wasn't sure it was the end of the audio and kept waiting for more. Well, I will say it was a very interesting and very unusual book. I would have liked a better ending; it kind of just left you pondering.

With the sweep and vitality of a great novel, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David McCullough presents the enthralling story of John Adams. This is history on a grand scale - an audiobook about politics, war, and social issues, but also about human nature, love, religious faith, virtue, ambition, friendship and betrayal, and the far-reaching consequences of noble ideas. Read by History Channel host Edward Herrmann!

This was a great book if you are interested in John Adams, the people in his life (like Thomas Jefferson)and the times he lived in. The narrator has a pleasant voice. I enjoyed this books and you will also.
