Most interesting: good story line. Least interesting: narrator
The narrator kept trying to have different voices for the characters, but failed. He's start up initially with a unique sounding voice, but after a few lines he would lose it and then all the characters voices would blend together making it extra difficult to follow.
Yes, excellent insight in to the food industry. You'll definitely want to start paying attention to what you put in your body if you weren't doing so already.
Covering the details about how food companies manipulate these three main ingredients.
Can not remember
No, but just because I'm busy.
I would, but only to doctor friends and I would try to manage their expectations.
Fats. Good humor, good advice to main character.
I was a little surprised about the amount of sex in this book. Either I'm really boring or it was a different time in the 70s. If I tried to have sex with as many nurses as what goes on in this book I would have been fired with maybe a lawsuit. Different times....
I don't know if it enhanced the story either.
Middle of the pack
When the expedition finally got on the river.
No extreme reaction
I enjoyed this audiobook, I've definitely heard/read better adventure books, but this one wasn't bad. I would recommend it to friends.
Informative, entertaining, educational
Garfield- unfortunately we just don't have leaders like him anymore. Unbelievably tough, measured and knew how to lead.
Unfortunately not too memorable of a read, nothing bad, just not extra memorable.
For me, being a physician I thought it was really interesting reading about the development of "germ" theory and how the physician that was caring for President Garfield did not prescribe to that theory.
good humor, made me want to listen to the long version of this performance
Even though I am an adult, I find these books very entertaining. Better than the Harry Potter series. This book simply builds on the first one. Good action, intrigue, and some drama in there. Can't wait to listen to the third one!
I thought this book was very educational. That being said, it made it incredibly BORING!!! Only listen to if you're a history major. It was cool that I learned some things about Rome and the surrounding areas, but not worth it.
I felt this was a standard good book, good read/listen. I have actually been to Mumbai and the slums so I feel that enhanced the listening experience. Good story though, hopefully it brings some attention to an often forgotten/overlooked demographic in India.
I really enjoyed listening to this perspective of the oil conglomerates. I found the parts about foreign policies and how they effected countries particularly informative. It was a bit on the long side for listening and I really had to space it out. Dry at times, but very educational.
The thing I liked best about this book was how thorough of a history it provided. It definitely debunked some myths that I thought previously to listening to it, it confirmed some things and it also had a lot of new information. What I liked least about it was it's length!! Holy cow, what a long book.
