I have never read the print version but this audiobook was great. The narrator was wonderful and I can't wait to download the next one.
I can't pick one out, there were too many.
She is great. I've never listened to her before but I will put her on my favorite list.
Some part were a little beyond my verson of normal and not something I would do or want to do but the way it was told kept looking forward to what would happen next.
This story just didn't have enough to keep my attention. I ended up only listening about 1/2 way through. They were high school sweethearts, they broke up so she could go to NY and dance. They meet again at her mother's funeral and get back together. All this was done by the halfway point. I didn't see any reason to keep listening to see what would pull them apart and then back together again. I figured it would be a stupid misunderstanding. So maybe you don't go by my review since I didn't complete the book. I like Kristen Proby and enjoyed other books in the "With Me" series just not this one. Narration was just okay too but that may be the material they had to read.
I loved all the Marked Men books and was hoping it would continue with the new series unfortunately it didn't (at least for me.) I didn't have a problem with Bax (Shane) having a rough past but she wrote it into the story too much or too often. He was "bad" I got it so you don't have to keep telling me - I didn't need to be reminded in every chapter. Dovie (hate the name - reminds me too much of Lovie) was okay as well. This book didn't have the sexual chemistry of the Marked Men books. They met, he asked her if she would have sex with him and she said okay. That was it. The narration is the only thing that saved it for me (or got me to listen to the end without turning it off.) I'm hoping this series will get better.
Will and Hannah have a sweet story. I love Hannah's nick-name Ziggy and it was fun watching Will transform from a player into someone that she could trust. As someone that is also a runner I enjoyed their early morning workout meetings. The text messaging conversations had me laughing out loud. I had so much fun listening to this book and really enjoyed the narration. Don't hesitate on using a credit for this book, it is well worth it!!
Wow, just wow. This book shocked the hell out of me the way it started and it just kept going. This takes the line between love and hate into a whole new place - a very good place. I have read all the books in the Beautiful series and this is by far the best. Great characters with strong female leads. Well worth a credit.
I loved this book, so much that I have listened to it twice! Christina Lauren is one of my favorite authors and I have every one of her books. This story is a crazy ride with great sex and wonderful love found in unexpected circumstances. I didn't hate the narrator but she talked in waves. When listening she would go up/down throughout the book and it sometimes got irritating. I can't for the next one!!.
I have this book in print and read it quite some time ago so I knew the story and it was still GREAT! The narrator is fantastic. It was sweet, funny, HOT, emotional and HOT. Braden and Joss are some of my favorite characters. Samantha Young will be getting all of my credits since I'll be downloading all of her books from this point forward!
This whole series has been fantastic and book 4 did not let me down. Marco and Hannah have fantastic chemistry and I just couldn't put it down. I think I went through the story in 2 days!! The narrator is excellent, I love to listen to her and she did a great job with both the male and female characters. Very credit worthy.
Well I finally figured out what the issue is with these books! I love Kristen Ashley and her books but I have read most of them. I downloaded Wild Man and only got about 1/2 way through and stopped listening. Thinking it was the story and knowing I love the author I decided to download Motorcycle Man. Again, I'm about 4 hours in and have lost interest. I finally realized that I just hate the narrator. I just don't like the hardcore northern accent (or what you would call a Long Island accent) and it screws up the story for me. (Sorry if I offend any people from the north.) Anyway, her accent took away from the story, it may not for others but we all have our own taste and this just isn't mine. I'll keep this narrator on my do not download list.
You know I thought this was going to be a really good book but for me it was WAY to drawn out. They talked about having sex for about 96% of the book at the end, the last 4% I wished they would stop. I didn't find it as funny as others and I'm sorry I wasted my credit on something that I am now so glad is over. The narrator was great so at least it had one positive.
I loved this story although the author really, really, really drew out the love scenes. You pretty much guess why from the onset (although it is not confirmed until near the end). They talked about almost having sex for 80% of the book so when they finally get together you know something bad is about to happen to change it. When Cam gets the news you really hurt for her since she has had such crappy luck with guys in her short life. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster and the characters will stick in your mind for days. I can't wait until this author's next book. Well done!!
