"Great book, terrible audio quality."
When you listen to this book you want to check your tape player, and clean the head and rollers, but wait, you can't because it is a digital recording. The quality of the recording is horrible. The person who produced this version of the recording needs to be fired along with the quality assurance people who you would expect to be checking the recording. This is not a Audible problem, the MP3 recordings from Brilliance are the same horrible clipped compression. I bought the Hunt for Red October on MP3 cd and it has the same flaws. Someone should have caught this.
"It is just Brain Droppings again."
I was furious to find I wasted a credit buying Brain Droppings again. Why the "help" would Audible sell the same title with 2 different names? Dont waste your credit.
"Readers should do some research first"
The story is very good. I love every detail. The problem I have it with the readers. I have listened to every book in this series. It never fails to amaze me that from one book to another words are pronounced differently. Couldn't anyone involved with the editing of this project bother to listen to the previous books? It may seem like a small thing but when your favorite characters voice changes...or a name or place is so mispronounced that it takes time to realize what the speaker is trying to say...it is very distracting to say the least. It detracts from the overall enjoyment. I know that no one is going to re-record this or any of the other books in this series, but to the future recorders of any series of books, either do some research to voice and pronunciation or keep the same reader the entier series please.
