This is by far the best and most exciting of the Ludlam books in my opinion. I would have liked to get all the way through in one sitting but I do have to eat and sleep. I'm sure glad I'm retired so I could listen for longer periods at a time.
This book was a typical Ludlam book. Got you going right off and kept your interest all the way to,the end. Ludlam does a good job of taking a good guy, turning the government or even the world against him and having him pull through at the end. Te plots are good and it's obvious he has to put a ton of research into his writing. Get it and you'll more than likely enjoy the entire story.
This was a good story which will make me want the remaining books in the series. In my opinion the narrator left some things to be desired. I didn't like the vocal tone. It was almost as if he was whispering. He also didn't bother to get the proper pronunciation of simple nautical terms. Almost everyone knows that forecastle isn't pronounced that way. It's more like (folk-sle). I guess all my years at sea made me critical. It is worth the read though so I can recommend it.
The formation of Rainbow Six sure made me think. Here again there is a group to take the place of the FBI and CIA. Better yet they. Could work around a lot of legalities. The way it ended was a real feel good climax. Listen to this all the way and you won't regret it.
I just couldn't stop on this one. I even spent more time hiking just so I could listen longer.
Like most of Ludlams books, this is hard to put down. Most of the writers that tried to copy his ideas just can't hold water.
It's almost like the movie was different all the way around. The book outshines it all over.
I did enjoy the story but found it somewhat lacking in the way it was written. I suppose I'm just spoiled.
What a writer. We lost one of the best without him writing any more. Each story adds to what you know about Jason Borne and you never want to stop listening. There aren't many who can keep you going like Robert Ludlum. Scott Brick is superb in his story telling.
I feel that the book did a better job of explaining Jason Bourne than the movie ever did. I've got to keep going with the series just to really know what's going on.
