Discipline. Penance. Order. A Sanctuary priest's life revolves around such things. But when Sagan is taken captive and thrust into the Alaskan wilderness, he encounters a woman who challenges his faith and his self-control. Valera is a natural born witch who almost lost herself to the lure of dark magic. By rights, Sagan should shun her, but convention will count for nothing in the face of a passion that could change the world of the Shadowdwellers forever.... As Chancellor of the Shadowdwellers, Malaya's first duty is to her people. Her bodyguard, Guin, knows this only too well.

On my third run through Blood Fever, the second book in the Fever Series, I am once again addicted as if it is the first time I am following KMM (Karen Marie Moning) as she describes Mac's journey through the Dublin streets. KMM has built an intriguing world filled with plot twists that startle and leave you searching through previous books in the series, to try to piece together why you didn't figure that twist out before it happened!

Mac's journey and relationship with Barrons continues to grow and you will see the bond strengthen as they continue their search for the Sinsar Dubh. What happens?, Who do they meet?, Who's brother is that!? and Theona did WHAT?!!! are only some of the questions you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for an answer on.
This second installment is definitely credit worthy, get ready for a ride

I love this series and the narrator, however this installment was a huge sex fest. Now Im all for the hot and heavy but I need some action and plot inbetween. I felt like they were having sex all day and all night as if the bad guys would wait for them to finish...but all in all I pushed through and was rewarded with another great story from Christine Feehan.

Would you listen to Plague of the Dead again? Why?

Yes, This first installment kept me on the edge of my seat rooting for the good guys and cursing the bad guys!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Plague of the Dead?

That would be a spoiler! Can't do that!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed and crie dthrough out the book. It is a rollercoaster when you get to know a character and then they are taken away by an infected. : (

"Vampires in Chicago! You'd think headlines like that would have provoked the fine citizens of the Windy City to take up arms against us bloodsucking fiends. Instead, 10 months later, we're enjoying a celebrity status reserved for the Hollywood elite - fending off paparazzi only slightly less dangerous than cross- and stake-wielding slayers. Don't get me wrong. Joe Public isn't exactly thrilled to be living side-by-side with the undead, but at least they haven't stormed the castle...yet."

I love this series. The narrator kept me involved and the plot is growing slowly. I hope to enjoy the next addition to the series.
