Guy Montag was a fireman whose job it was to start fires....The system was simple. Everyone understood it. Books were for burning...along with the houses in which they were hidden. Montag enjoyed his job. He had been a fireman for 10 years, and he had never questioned the pleasure of the midnight runs, nor the joy of watching pages consumed by flames...never questioned anything until he met a 17-year-old girl who told him of a past when people were not afraid.

What did you love best about Fahrenheit 451?

That the Author was narrating it

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I have always wanted to read this book, but never got around to it. I don't have the time to listen to a book in one sitting, but if there was one book I would have liked to do it, it would be this one

  • The Caine Mutiny

Having inspired a classic film and Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny is Herman Wouk's boldly dramatic, brilliantly entertaining novel of life—and mutiny—on a Navy warship in the Pacific theater. It was immediately embraced upon its original publication as one of the first serious works of American fiction to grapple with the moral complexities and the human consequences of the Second World War. In the intervening half century, this gripping story has become a perennial favorite, selling millions throughout the world, and claiming the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

It was above my expectations. I did n't know what to expect. I have never seen the movie version but as I am using audible to catch up on all the books I consider must reads , The Caine Mutiny was at the bottom of my list. Well it definitely moved up. The narration was great, it kept me interested from the beginning to he end. I would recommend it to anyone
