School psychologist Skye Denison reluctantly agrees to act as maid of honor in her California cousin's over-the-top platinum-style wedding - and is also expected to assist the control-freak wedding planner. But when Skye discovers the planner dead, just one week before the big event, Skye is suddenly working double-duty.

Would you listen to Murder of a Wedding Belle again? Why?

This was the first Denise Swanson I have read, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. The characters were well developed and realistic. The plot is entertaining and easy to follow. Despite the fact that it is a murder mystery, it is light hearted and fun. I will read more of this series.

What other book might you compare Murder of a Wedding Belle to and why?

If you enjoy Carolyn Hart's death on demand series, or Monica Ferris you will enjoy Denise Swanson.

Have you listened to any of Christine Leto’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have nothing to compare Christine Leto's performance as I have not listened to her before.

Where there’s smoke there’s fire, and no one knows this better than New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum. Dead bodies are showing up in shallow graves on the empty construction lot of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds. No one is sure who the killer is, or why the victims have been offed, but what is clear is that Stephanie’s name is on the killer’s list. Short on time to find evidence proving the killer’s identity, Stephanie faces further complications when her family and friends decide that it’s time for her to choose between her longtime off-again-on-again boyfriend and the other bad boy in her life....

Joan says: "Been there read that!"

As always Janet Evanovich has another winner and I love Lorelei King's narrations of her books. The combinations of Ms. Evanovich's writing and Ms. King's narration is as always a winning combination.

Roe is still in mourning over her husband's death when a movie company arrives in Lawrenceton. They've come to make a film based on a book written by her one-time boyfriend Robin Crusoe, a book that detailed their shared investigation of a series of murders that occurred years before.

Maria says: "Another kudo for Charlaine Harris"

    Overall

Unfortunately I listed to book 8 before book 7 and it is making book 7 difficult. I enjoyed book 8 so much that I want to know what happens next rather than what happened before. As a result it is hard for me to get in to this book although I am enjoying it. Therese Plummer is excellent in her narration and brings Roe alive for me.

Best-selling author and Sookie Stackhouse creator Charlaine Harris crafts the eighth riveting tale starring Aurora "Roe" Teagarden. Roe's stepsister-in-law Poppy has achieved social distinction - she's been elected into the Uppity Women Book Club. Unfortunately, membership has its deadly consequences.

Aurora Teagarden is a delightful character and is well developed as are all of Charlaine Harris's characters. This book returned some characters who we had met in past books and expanded on the family dynamics between Roe, step family relationships, as well as old boyfriends. Roe really came to life for me in this book.
