  • Glenn Beck's Common Sense: The Case Against an Out-of-Control Government

    • UNABRIDGED (5 hrs and 46 mins)
    • By Glenn Beck
    • Narrated By Glenn Beck
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Glen Beck, the number-one New York Times best-selling author and popular radio and television host, revisits Thomas Paine's Common Sense with one purpose: to galvanize Americans to see past government's easy solutions, two-part monopoly, and illogical methods, and take back our great country.

    Jason says: "Conditionality"
"Beck makes good sense, I wish it were more common"

Glenn Beck presents a hard-hitting, but absolutely accurate view of the problems that partisan politics have wrought in the past 50+ years. He asks the reader to declare his or her independence from the party-line vote and to research and choose candidates for what they stand for and how their past record indicates they truly lean. By doing so, the independent voters become the most sought after demographic by both Republican and Democratic pundits. Then, the values of the working class American people will finally be recognized. Beck has his finger on the pulse of the current political and cultural scene. A great read and some excellent points on the failure of our public school system to teach the "real" history that is so conveniently left out of our school books these days - and how that has affected our culture!

  • Do the Right Thing

    • ABRIDGED (5 hrs and 23 mins)
    • By Mike Huckabee
    • Narrated By Janice Card

Mike Huckabee's run for the Republican presidential nomination was truly amazing. But beyond the headlines, few understand his transformation from a long-shot Evangelical candidate into a viable contender. Huckabee now presents the inside story of his low-budget, grassroots campaign. He treated middle-class and working-class voters with respect and spoke to their concerns about the economy, society, and the way our country is run.

John Marshall says: "You might like Mike - even if you disagree"
    "Refreshingly honest and noteworthy"

Huckabee presents an honest view of the political establishment as it is and the hinderances that both Democratic and Republican party-line politics present to re-capturing the American Dream. Along with his view of the current milieu, Huckabee presents sound, even encouraging proposals for how the middle class can be released from its current pressures from taxes and making ends meet and how his proposals also benefit the whole gamut of taxpayers and citizens. No matter your party affiliation or lack thereof, this book will provide an insight into the faults of the political system and refreshing ideas of getting back to basics for the benefit of everyone. Read by Huckabee, it really adds to the experience.
