I would recommend this to anyone. Of course, Dr. Seuss is a favorite, and I think Jason Alexander did a wonderful job of bringing the characters to life. His narration was perfect, and I have listened to it 10 times already (really, 10 times!), and I am a 27-year old adult with no kids. Just reliving my youth, and Green Eggs and Ham makes me smile every time I listen to it. A perfect 5 minute pick-me-up.

I had read the book several years ago and had remembered it being unlike Christie's other mysteries. It is more of a suspense tale - the main story line is that of a girl (Victoria) who thinks she is in love with a man who leaves for Baghdad, and so she follows him and runs into adventure. While the premise is fairly improbable and requires some suspension of disbelief, it is a light fun listen. Victoria is adventurous and likeable, the narrator did an excellent job and overall, I enjoyed the story. That said, I think it is important to recognize that this is not a typical Christie mystery but a light-hearted suspense tale.

This was the first time I listened to Emilia Fox and her narration is excellent. Her voices are easily distinguishable and her accents are perfect (I'm not English, so I can't comment on accuracy but it sounds great to me). And immediately after listening to this, I bought another of her Christie narrations because she does such a great job.

Steven Crossley is a great narrator for this book. Like most Eva Ibbotson books (for children), this one is a light story of adventure with the good people winning and the greedy people getting their comeuppance - in this story, there are also greedy people who redeem themselves. Steven Crossley's tone perfectly matches that of the book.

I would recommend this feel-good adventure story to anyone who has enjoyed previous Eva Ibbotson books like "The Haunting of Granite Falls" or "Which Witch" or some of her other works that are more light-hearted. While I enjoyed the story, I am familiar with her type of characters, and her protagonists sometimes tend to be overwhelmingly "good". In "One Dog and His Boy", it's been very well done and I really like the main characters, and one of the nicest things about Eva Ibbotson books is that very often the "bad" people are depicted with a touch of ridiculous humor, and that makes them a lot more appealing. This book was really a great last gift from Eva Ibbotson.

The narrators were great - both of them played their roles well, and they did a great job with the voices of other characters, so much so that even though there were two narrators, I could tell which of the other characters was talking because both narrators portrayed them consistently.
The story itself was fun and exciting, it was a good listen.

Anyone who loves Agatha Christie will enjoy this. An excellent collection of stories - it should be noted that there are only two actual murder mysteries, the rest are burglaries, adventures etc - light hearted but fun and put together with exquisite style and timing, like all of Agatha Christie's stories.

Very high - I enjoyed the narration and the story.

The characters especially the ExtraOrdinary Wizard - she was cranky but endearing. The characters are mostly well drawn out, the story was well done - exciting but well-balanced with humor.
