This biography of St. Francis examines the life of a pure artist, a man whose whole life was a poem. Yet St. Francis also acknowledged the mystic responsibility to communicate his divine experience. Chesterton examines the existence of the pure and the mystic artist in one man. The result is an understanding of St. Francis in both body and soul, two essential aspects because the Saint saw religion as a kind of love afair; both spiritual and material.

What disappointed you about Saint Francis of Assisi?

The narrator was boring, the story was boring. I thought it would have been exciting, I've read other stories about Saint Francis, but this one did not do him justice.

Has Saint Francis of Assisi turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, I think if the narrator would have been someone esle, I might have been able to stand to listen longer, other books that I've gotten are very good.

Would you be willing to try another one of Bernard Mayes’s performances?

No, absolutely not, no way, no how!!!!

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    NO!

    Any additional comments?

    Not really, said it all.

Having found a measure of peace among the dwarves in the reclaimed Mithral Hall, Drizzt begins to know contentment for perhaps the first time in his tumultuous life. But for a dark elf renegade from a city ruled by priestesses of a demon goddess, no peace can long last. It is Lolth herself, the dreaded Queen of the Demonweb Pits, who musters her followers to pour up from the black depths of the Underdark to reclaim for their goddess the one soul that had managed to elude her. The soul of Drizzt Do'Urden.

What did you love best about The Legacy?

The closeness of the friends Brunner Battle Hammer, Katiebrie , Drizzt and of course Guenhwyvar and of their acceptance of each other.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Legacy?

When Drizzt was trained by the blind ranger.

Have you listened to any of Victor Bevine’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No I haven't not beyond the Legend of Drizzt, I like his voice and the way he draws you into the story. I don't however like how he continues to mispronounce some of the words, i.e., macabre and lived for example.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

The Dark heart of the Drow.
