Rhys Bowen can tell a great story, this one as usual had quite a few laughs and smiles. love the characters which are developed so well, Katherine Kellgren rates a 6 star for all the accents
Vince Flynn wrote exceptional books, he had a way of telling a story that makes you want to read all day & night and then be sorry when it is over. This book is one of the best reads I have experienced, well all in the series fit that description. George Guidall has a great voice, he is able to make me hear all the different characters but his delivery just drives me crazy for the first few hours, it is slurred and sloppy, then he either gets more crisp or I adjust to it and am able to enjoy the reading.
J.P. is just so personable and real, and Gene Engene makes the book come alive. His delivery is crisp, clear and enjoyable.
have enjoyed other Vince Flynn books and have listened to this series in abridged format with a great narrator. This narration was sloppy, garbled and wet sounding almost as though his tongue was swollen. The superior writing and story line is all that kept me listening and I hate it that George Guidall has narrated so many others in the series.
after discovering Quinn I read each book one after the other. Brett Battles and Scott
Brick are another great team , can't imagine a Quinn read by anyone else and I do hope there are a number more in the future to be read.
I love everything about this book from the sound effects to the wonderful reader and certainly the story that entertains and keeps you guessing. This is my second year of listening and it is as great an experience as the first.
these books continued to get better and better as with most authors. For a good story without blood thunder and sex but rather good story lines with interesting plots give them a try.
love Charlotte MacLeod, all of her books are full of fun characters and the stories provide an escape for the mind plus a mystery you just might not figure out. I wore out the paperbacks that I collected over many years. Do yourself a favor and read one of her books.
this series has a tender love story, strong character development and interaction between people I want to know more about. Added to this is a good mystery with plot twist, turns, and surprises. Then there are the political tidbits that make up so much of the story background but in no way is the story. There is simply nothing not to like and I am left hungry for more but have spent many happy hours with them.
Haven't read one this good for awhile.Rbt. Glenister has a wonderful voice with a bag full of different people. He made this book not just good but great and the people so real, I certainly hope he will narrate the sequel. The story flowed so well it kept me listening hour after hour, it did not depend on blood & sex to tell the tale but rather great writing. Did not know who the author was until I researched the narrator and then the author for other books. Keep this character and narrator coming please.
What a gread imagination and a gift for telling a story Lynsay Sands has. They hold my interest until the last word and I am always sorry to reach the last word.Sometimes I laugh out loud at the situations. I am listening to the series for the 2nd time, in order this time. There have been several narrators and all have done a really good job. Kirby Heyborne seems to be my favorite,he has a super voice in my opinion.
