Army Special Agent John Puller is the best there is. A combat veteran, Puller is the man the U.S. Army relies on to investigate the toughest crimes facing the nation. Now he has a new case - but this time, the crime is personal: His aunt has been found dead in Paradise, Florida.

Puller is a Jack Reacher/Mitch Rapp character. I found many similarities.

When I first started listening to this book, I thought that I had a corrupted download. They have sound affects that made a humming sound. It didn't last long.

I liked the first book in this series better. I hope that the next book is a little more interesting.

I love David Baldacci's books so I will buy the next one.

John Puller's older brother, Robert, was convicted of treason and national security crimes. His inexplicable escape from prison makes him the most wanted criminal in the country. Some in the government believe that John Puller represents their best chance at capturing Robert alive, and so Puller takes on the burden of bringing his brother in to face justice. But Puller quickly discovers that there are others pursuing his brother, who only see Robert as a traitor and are unconcerned if he survives.

I am sorry, but Puller is not measuring up to Reacher or Rapp. This book entertains and keeps your interest. That is the main thing that I need from a book. Possibly, because I am such a Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher fan, Puller just falls a little short in my humble opinion. I will certainly get the next one in the series.

Personally, I am a legal mystery fan and love the court room dramas. I have all of the books in this series and always look forward to the next installment. This book entertained me and kept me guessing. I look forward to the next one from John Lescroart... I am a fan of this series and will continue to listen to his books. Worth the credit and the time.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Harlan Coben set huge sales records with last year’s Six Years - and he’s poised to do it again in his next breathtaking stand-alone thriller. Harlan Coben, author of six consecutive instant number-one New York Times best sellers and a total of 24 award-winning, best-selling, and internationally acclaimed novels, returns with another ripped-from-real-life thriller full of impossibly high emotional stakes and the real-to-life characters for which he has become famous.

While this book did not keep me on the edge of my seat biting my nails, I found that it was a good mystery with a cautionary thread running through it. I think that Harlan Coben did an excellent job in weaving two mysteries together. I recommend it, in my opinion it had good entertainment value.

The year is 2008 and Samantha Kofer's career at a huge Wall Street law firm is on the fast track - until the recession hits and she gets downsized, furloughed, escorted out of the building. Samantha, though, is one of the "lucky" associates. She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. In a matter of days Samantha moves from Manhattan to Brady, Virginia, population 2,200, in the heart of Appalachia, a part of the world she has only read about.

So many of the listeners gave low marks to this book and I must say that I enjoyed it very much. It is not the suspense filled typical John Grisham book, however is sheds some light on the coal mining industry's destroying the land and the ripple effects that has on the families that live there. I found it fascinating, since I knew nothing about the destructive nature of the coal industry. I thought that the book was well researched and had a good story line. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.

One of the best things about a good mystery is trying to figure out "who done it." Surprise endings are my favorite and I was surprised. I thought that I had it figured out and the book let me think that I got it right. Then "SURPRISE!" I was wrong. Good one for sure. I have all of the books written by Gillian Flynn and I have enjoyed them all. I am looking forward to the next book. It is definitely worth the time and the credit. Enjoy!

Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

"You can leave the army, but the army doesn’t leave you. Not always. Not completely," notes Jack Reacher - and sure enough, the retired military cop is soon pulled back into service. This time, for the State Department and the CIA. Someone has taken a shot at the president of France in the City of Light. The bullet was American. The distance between the gunman and the target was exceptional. How many snipers can shoot from three-quarters of a mile with total confidence? Very few, but John Kott - an American marksman gone bad - is one of them...

A new Jack Reacher novel is just what I needed, but I kept falling asleep while listening to it. What is wrong with me? I thought it was me and I was getting bored with Reacher. I guess that by reading the other reviews that I am not alone in the observation that this book was boring. I hate to even utter the words boring in relation to a Reacher adventure. I will continue to buy the Reacher series and hopefully the next one is back to his "edge of my seat" "can't put it down" "finished it in as soon as possible" book.

Andy Carpenter isn't sure what to think when he gets a mysterious phone call from a good friend, policeman Pete Stanton, asking him to drop everything, drive to an unfamiliar address, and bring his girlfriend, Laurie Collins. He certainly isn't expecting to show up at a crime scene. But that's exactly where he arrives - at the house where Pete has just discovered the body of ex-convict Danny Balfour. Upstairs are Danny's now orphaned four-year-old son and basset hound. And that, Andy discovers, is why he and Laurie were called to the scene - Pete wants them to take care of the boy and the dog so they won't get thrown into the "system". This is already asking a lot, but soon Pete needs another big favor from Andy. Pete himself has come under suspicion for Danny's murder, and he needs defense attorney Andy to represent him - and to find out what really happened in Danny's house that day!

I have been waiting anxiously for the next book in the Andy Carpenter series and I nearly missed it. It was usually in the Mystery/Legal category. I ran out of books to listen to so I happened to go to Mystery/Suspense (a category I do not often visit) and there is was! I love Grover Gardner as the narrator. To me he is Andy. There is always some humor intermixed in these books and I appreciate that aspect very much. This series is candy to me...

Although there is violence in this book, it is not graphic. Give this series a try... enjoy.

I love Walt Longmire's laid back demeanor. He always seems to figure things out in a atypical fashion. This characteristic tends to make you love him. The books are always an adventure for sure. I am listening to these out of order, which is something that I do not normally do. However, it has not taken away from my enjoyment. I will eventually get them all and go back and listen to them in order. I am indeed entertained by this series.
