I started this series because my usual favorite authors had nothing new for me to buy. So I gave it gamble and I am so glad that I did. I must have more. I just downloaded the third and fourth book in the series. I can hardly wait to start listening.
This is an old book, published in 1999. Don't let that stop you, it is a good mystery. If you like mystery novels you will like this series.
A love story, a mystery, a legal thriller and some life lessons thrown in for good measure.
I enjoyed this book very much and hope to get more from this author. Well worth the credit and the time.
While not great book, this book did hold my interest. At times parts of it seemed a little repetitive. I like this author and I will buy the next book. The narrator is not the best that I have heard, but also not the worst. The book is worth a read (listen).
I finished this book a couple of days ago and I had to go back to Audible refresh my memory. I finished "The Lions Game" by Nelson DeMille in 2000 and I can still remember what it was about.
For that reason, this book gets three stars. Nothing to get to excited about, but if you need a book to read it's an ok read. (Listen)
I am torn, I liked the beginning, the middle and was disappointed toward the end. That is why the story got only three stars.
I am not sorry that I bought it, but it is not a book that I would listen to again.
I will buy the next John Lutz book.
John Grisham is to me, the best author when it comes to the courtroom, legal, lawyer, mystery. I have every book of his that I can get. I have enjoyed each and every one of them. This book was so good, it made me stop and think, "When did I last enjoy a book so much?" Oh, it was a John Grisham book…
Please do not wait, get this book and share in my excitement. I love a good mystery! Enjoy!
This was an interesting book, but not one that kept me on the edge of my seat. Although not a page turner, it was worth the credit. It had some unexpected twists and turns. Scott Turow is a very talented author. I will continue to buy his books.
Nelson DeMille is one of my favorite authors. I have every available audio book that I can get. However, something about this book did not live up to par.
The premise was interesting, but I found it a little boring. This is just my humble opinion.
I will continue to buy books by this author. I especially liked the John Corey series, which is more of the genre that I like.
I listen to audio books for the entertainment. Sue Grafton does just that, entertain. I enjoy this series and will continue listening to them. I find Kinsey Milhorne totally likable and her adventures intriguing. The narrator does and excellent job.
I just finished the last book available in this series...I took a chance with an author that I was not familiar with and bought "Iron Lake" the first book in this series, 13 books and 6 weeks later I am finished and wishing that there was more. I had to renew my subscription early to get all of this series. I was thoroughly entertained with each and every chapter. I hope that you give this series a try.
This series has kept me interested all the way through. Sometimes when listening to a book, I find that I have to rewind it and listen again because the book has not kept my interest and my mind has wandered. This did not happen even once through twelve books in this series. It just kept me wanting more, and I could hardly wait to get on with it. Take a chance and give this series a try.
