In the first, desperate days of the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC has enacted the Cole Protocol to safeguard Earth and its Inner Colonies from discovery by a merciless alien foe. Many are called upon to rid the universe of lingering navigation data that would reveal the location of Earth. Among them is Navy Lieutenant Jacob Keyes. Thrust back into action after being sidelined, Keyes is saddled with a top secret mission by ONI.

The correct read order is as follows:

    Halo: Contact Harvest
    Halo: The Cole Protocol
    Halo: The Fall Of Reach
    Halo: The Flood
    Halo: First Strike
    Halo: Ghosts of Onyx

    KILO-5 Novels

    Glasslands
    The Thursday War
    UNTITLED

    Miscellaneous

    Halo: Evolutions

These books can be read first as they are "Chronologically" before all the others. But I recommend reading them last as the first batch opens the door to the Haloverse.

I have listened to this series several times. I get new feelings every time I listen. It is a shame the author is gone, it would be nice to see a continuation of the story as there are many things left open.

My hat off to Wil Wheaton, he does an awesome job.

When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, "I’m not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."

Awesome book. Just make sure in the last 1-3 chapters you have tissues on hand. Adam Brown was a gift to the world and was taken, in my view, to be readied for the final battle to fight along side Gabriel.

I always say that and most of the time it is true. I've only read/listened to a few books where the movie was as good or better.

In the case of this one, I've seen the movie several times and thought it was great. Then I listened to the book and WOW, the book was better. A LOT BETTER.

Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

If ever there was a book that says, "WAKE UP" it's this one. I heard about this book while based in Iraq and got it for my Kindle. But with the little time I had to "Read" I decided to get it through Audible. WOW. AWESOME book. I liked it so much I called my Mom and had her download it to her Kindle, we still talk about it from time to time. Since reading this book we, as a family have gotten things together just in case.

As the cold returns, sinister forces are massing beyond the protective wall of the kingdom of Winterfell. To the south, the king's powers are failing, with his most trusted advisor mysteriously dead and enemies emerging from the throne's shadow.

What did you love best about Speaker for the Dead?

    It continued Ender's story.

What did you like best about this story?

It's about Ender. I've listened to all of Mr. Card's books.

What about David Birney and Stefan Rudnicki ’s performance did you like?

Among the best performers out there.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

    Some parts.

    Any additional comments?

I read for the story. All books have boring area and fast edge of the seat areas. Remember this is not a Movie (yet) so read and enjoy.
