Thomas's recording of this holiday classic is considered the first official audiobook. You'll hear the author's recollection of a holiday in the seaside town of his youth as well as some of his most celebrated poems, including "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night."

Ruth Green says: "An index of contents"
    "A Christmas Classic"
    Overall

This reading by Thomas himself has become a Christmas classic in our house. All at once, one is transported to Wales, hearing the cats, picturing the aunts and uncles, and recalling the wonder of Christmas as experienced by a child.

When a brutal kidnapper nabs a therapist and her two young daughters, Deputy Chief Davenport begins to feel like a character in one of his computer games. He must unravel clues to the kidnapper's identity before he can pinpoint where he is holding his prey. Mind Prey is this Pulitzer Prize-winning author's seventh book in the Davenport series.

    ELAINE says: "Just buy it!"
    "Don't waste your time"
    Overall

With a dialog limited by four letter words and cliches, this book is a waste of time. The plot is inane, the characters are unbelievable, and I will never bother reading a book by this author again.

After 30 years and with three million copies in print, Michael Shaara's Pulitzer Prize-winning Civil War classic, The Killer Angels, remains as vivid and powerful as the day it was originally published.

Gene says: "Almost a Perfect Audiobook"
    "Best Civil War Novel"
    Overall

This is the best fictional account of the battle at Gettysburg I have read. It depicts the character of the officers of the Army of Virginia and the Army of the Potomac. The book delves into the personal trials, strengths and weaknesses of the officers that influenced the outcome of this key battle.

The narration is outstanding. I suggest that anyone planning a visit the Gettysburg read this book.
