She is taking a not so funny Life experience, and turning it into a laughable thing.
I share some of this experience. If it is not one thing It is another, and could empathize..It seems when trouble comes it really multiplies!
I have enjoyed every one of Ngaio Marsh's books. I keep looking for more!
Love these books! You have to really listen. Don't fall asleep or you will miss a tiny detail. That, may loose you in the how and why of the murder. Archie, and Nero are fun to listen to, almost like two old spinsters (although I am certain they or the author would NOT agree). squabbling with each other, but no one tops Nero Wolf!
A group of stories. Some catch you unaware with abrupt endings. Enjoyed but, left me thinking about what was being presented, Was there a message here? It held me to the end., but left me in the air, feeling unfinished.
Humorous, Fun story. Great for evening calm time (and listening to when I'll, makes you feel better) Reader is wonderful!
A very "goofy story full of " Tall Tales". Read entertainingly by author. Nephew intrigued!
Brought back good memories of working situations. ...
This a first time read... listen for this author.
yes and I did!
Read all of these as a child, and still love them now. The tale is funny and joyful, a little bit scary and all the things needed for a great imagination!
Ariel, so interested in what in "the world" is going on.
The first encounter with...the boy (but old lady was funny too with her meeting... Saw one or two? "drank a little too much " but your seeing so many...bring all the Madeira? up here."
Have you ever sworn you left something "right there" and can't find it now? It could be you have Borrowers in your house!
Loved the WHOLE set. How come you don't have the borrower's revenged?
My children read them, and now I'm introducing them to the next generation.
No, not for me. I assumed wrongly in buying this.
I had bought two..I think they are miss represented. If I was looking for this type of thing It was OK. BUT I WAS NOT.
Funny, good performance.
It is not a book...and I bought her other when I purchased this one : (
I was looking for real answers. Seeking real help. So was extremely disappointed when I discovered it was a comedy routine. I had a very real need to search for answers to a REAL problem.
He thinks this?
Other books that come from a dogs view, "Racing in the Rain", "Marley and Me", "The story of Edgar Sawtelle"
I went into this with fear of having to face the dogs eventual death. why? I have lost one dog in the past 6 months an have another very old dog and surmised this would happen and probably feared it?? So I could not enjoy the book. It is not usually me so can't understand my reluctance.
